Make any excuse you want [injuries, fatigue, boredom, trouble with the wife,etc...] but the fact of the matter is the Spurs over the last month have been up and down. Like it or not this years version of the playoff Spurs are backing into the playoffs. I think we should all feel a little uneasy going aganist the Nugs in this first round. They've been rolling since the all star break and we're hobbling into the playoffs. Not a good thing at all.

..the Spurs were rolling after the playoffs in 2003, but lost the 1st game against Phoenix w/ that Marbury's crunch shot.

don't worry, the Spurs will win the 1st rnd. Believe is still alive.

P.S. the Nuggets are "rollin'" bec. they got pissed off they got no invites in the All-STar Game this season

like in 03 when they got blow out on there home court by Dallas??

    Of course.

Fire pop for not playing all the starters 30 minutes and wasting them tonight.
Look if you want to stop being the forum , you're going to have rub those two brain cells together and think instead of trying to thrust your prepubescent, knee-jerk conclusions on everyone.

In '03, the Spurs won 12 of their last 14 regular season games. The game they lost to Dallas was the token throwaway last game of the season, much like last night's game. That's called rolling into the playoffs.

This year, we've won 6 of our last 11 games heading into the playoffs. That's called backing into the playoffs. Even if we consider the last game of the season a throwaway game, we couldn't even grab a lead with our starting lineup out there. Forget grabbing a lead, the starters couldn't even trim a deficit.

I could care less about winning that game or how many minutes the starters played but when I see the starters in there, I expect them to at least look in synch.

Next time, think before you post.

    It's called sarcasm TwoHandJam.

T-Park was responding to the quote that the Spurs are not entering on the roll that they usually do.

As far as I'm concerned, going on a roll didn't help much last year, so losing some games before the playoffs can't hurt this year.

It's a whole new Playoffs, kiddies! Spurs will win on Sunday. Mark it.

You're new here so I'll cut you some slack but you misjudge the depths of TPark's stupidity.

He was being sarcastic, yes, but he was doing so as to imply that posters looking critically at the state of the team entering the playoffs are judging them solely on last night's performance. TPark's myopia knows no bounds as you'll soon come to discover.

spurs havent had a solid win against a playoff team since what? febuary i think against houston...i'm just super worried about their offense, cuz there have been WAY too many nights where these guys cant find the hole and it gets UGLY. And if it ends up taking the spurs 6 games to beat Denver, then its gonna be a long long road ahead of them. I just hope they get their sh*t together in time.
