You're a very sound poster Ghazi.
I hope you find success in your future endeavors.
We just have to accept that its the Lakers year. the Spurs/Celtics are too old, the Magic's best player is Dwight Howard, Cavs roster outside of Lebron is far from championship material... the Mavs, our beloved Mavs, well we can give them , and will give them in the WCF, but ultimately we simply lack the personnel to knock off a team led by Kobe flanked by the enormous frontline of Bynum/Gasol/Odom.
Next year we'll see if the free agency hooplah can allow two superstars to allign and take down the juggernaut known as the Lakers. fi not, repeat... after that we'll see if a young team like the Thunder/Blazers can emerge and if age can catch up with the Lakers' core.
You're a very sound poster Ghazi.

A Duncan led team never missed the playoffs. Kobe on the other hand...
Except for one minor little detail you are leaving out in your flawed logic.
Dirk is the #1 go to franchise player on his team and Artest is the 4th or 5th option on the Lakers.
FAIL
Wow your are an idiot , they are talking about Richard Jefferson, is short for Richard, you seriously couldn't look at those numbers and figure out it wasn't Dirk,
so i guess you're the one that FAILED.
Kobe was out with an injury the majority of that year, and so was Odom if I remember correctly.
what was his excuse for giving up in game 7? .. honestly i dont understand how fans can support a guy who let his team hang out to dry ...
POR is still a 2nd round virgin.
oh and a team full of jump shooters as their primary offensive tactic? not happening.
move along folks.
...I eat the sandwich for Bryant there. I got no problem doing so.
Kobe has failed to make the playoffs.
Duncan has failed chronologically to repeat.
It is what it is.
He played in 66 games in the regular season. Odom played 64.
A Duncan led team has also never repeated nor even won the WC two years in a row. Kobe on the other hand...

Do you get any trophies for that?
Did you even read what I was replying to?
That team just wasn't very good.
Statistically and mathematically speaking regarding odds you are probably right. But if your booking that the Lakers, with all that talent, won't repeat, what does that say about the Spurs?
Just curious....![]()
Oh, Spurs won't make the playoffs this season
My bad... misread it.
Why would I really care to look at the actual "numbers" of two players who are non contenders?
But again, my bad. I'll be a little more careful next time.
We had incredible good luck last season. The injuries were minimal. Then we ran a gauntlet that was less than quality in the playoffs thru the Finals. The high point of good fortune being Mutombo & Yao going down, followed closely by Nelson going down. It's weird, usually when you do a bad thing like Colorado it's difficult for like God to grant upon you.
Anywho, finding that unobstructive path again this season seems incomprehensible.
Duncan has NEVER missed the playoffs? But ug he HAd would that change him being the greatest PF? Not IMHO ...but haters use that for fuel to critique Kobe. When it doesnt matter to me Robinson was in the lottery ...that is how you git duncan true he was hurt ...BUT we know the Spurs didnt mind tanking it worked out well!
