Keep inhaling that smoggy thin air.
so i gather you are an out of town spurs fan...
Wade without Shaq in 8 games.
Points - 25.6
FG% - .550
Assists - 7.8
Steals - 2.3
Rebounds - 3.6
Blocks - 1.3
I think it's safe to say Wade isn't made by Shaq. I'd also say that their isn't a single GM in the NBA including Kiki that would take Melo over Wade.
you are giving Kupchack too much credit...
samparks23, you can post here -- like all the other Nuggets fans -- but I don't get why Nugget fans can't step up and just bring some legitimate basketball takes.
And no, "suck my " (fat, or otherwise) doesn't qualify.
Step up.
Shaq is just a compliment... He saw a sinking ship and he bailed. Greedy bas .
i never said that.
I am coming to the conclusion that Phonzie20 is a Nuggets poster that IS NOT A TROLL.
Shaq tends to make everyone better. There were like 4 Miami Heat guys who made the voting for Most Improved Player, including O'Neal.
Kori, you have one?
She highlighted the name Phonz, pay attention.
Sorry...mul asking here....
I agree Wade has improved his game but you cant take an 8 game stretch and use it as evidence that he is just as good without Shaq. If he had to fight as hard for his points and carry the team for a whole season without Shaq then i bet he would regress.
Wade is one heck of a player but he wouldnt be the same without shaq over a LONG stretch.
Melo will be better than Wade over the long term, all 3 of the top rookies from that year are still growing and learning. Stats dont mean everything, Lebron has amazing stats but he couldnt take his team to the playoffs. Hopefully melo can show you some of his improvement in game 3.
I dont think Melo will let Bowen get to him , even with his physco flying kicks

An argument can be made that Wade would be a greater focus of the Heat offense without Shaq, take more shots average more points just as easily as arguing he wouldn't do as well. There certainly is precedent for players going to sucky teams and upping their offensive output.
Bottom line Wade is an incredible talent, greater than Melo and that's on both offense and defense.
Yeh Wade can become the next Kobe and Lebron, take a whole lot of shots , get your stats but dont take your team anywhere but the lottery

The fact remains Melo is in the west while Lebron and Wade play against soft east teams. I dont think Wade or Lebron would be the same as they are now if they were in our Conference, how have the gone against the Spurs this season? HAve manu and Tony had much success stopping them?
i can only do so much.
So, if wade wins the le, you will still think melo is better?
Melo would be more of a candidate for that. Wade is a more intelligent and team oriented player than Melo.
Guards in the east are better than guards int the west. Nobody had success agiainst Wade on the Spurs. The fact remains Melo is in the west while Lebron and Wade play against soft east teams. What is that supposed to mean? I give D props. the guy..hopefully after the Ogre exits do to injury (yeah I said it) can see success.
Wade wont win the le.............Wade and Shaq might![]()
I think Melo is going to be a better player in the future, he will outlast Wade in the long run but thats just my opinion. Once Big Daddy reitires, the opposing teams can focus their D more on Wade again.
I think they are both great players and any team would be fortunate to have either of them on their team..........
No one in the West is even worth mentioning besides the Spurs and the Suns, along with the Rockets and Mavs. He played amazing against Indiana last year and they were with the 61-21 record, with Reggie, Jermaine, and Ron.
Melo did that last year and we got to the playoffs...........He is more team orientated now than last year..........
Its easy to pass to a wide open team mate when two or three of the other team us guarding your 300+pound center
