They said he requested to play with 4 point guards at some point in the game, and I think they thought he was serious. Sounds to me like he was having a little fun at his coach's expense, and they once again missed out on his deadpan delivery.

Perhaps Duncan is the culprit behind all this small-ball crap. Pop is just the lackey!

Is this the worst all-star weekend?

No way. It was awesome. Game was good, the rookie/sop re game was good (props to Dejuan), Usher opened strong for today's game, Shakira and Alicia put on a great half time that was way better than the superbowl's. Horse was fun to watch, only thing I didn't like much was the dunk contest.

For not really caring. He's one the NBA's finest players, but his approach to this game screamed "I'm not into All-Star games." The most memorable part of his 13 minutes was when he skillfully pretended he couldn't see big mean Dwight Howard rolling down the lane. Howard got a wide-open dunk. Did I mention the East won by two? It would be appropriate, from this point forward, to make him an honorary 13th All-Star every year from now on.

Fixed. I guess people that don't follow the Spurs don't remember Timmy walking around with his video camera after the '99 championship. They also don't remember all the other 12 times that Timmy was in the all-star game and didn't try.

Is this guy effing serious? Both teams had plenty of "look the other way" moments...every other possession was a dunk or layup for god's sake...

in the pre-ASG interviews, craig sager (i think) asks amar'e who can jump the highest (basically for the tip in with howard, since both are listed at center). amar'e gives his regular bs that they are both great players and equal in that regard as well.

at the ASG, timmy goes to amar'e and says, something that i imagine goes like:
- hey man, you're listed at center; you got it.
- (amar'e goes) no man, you got it; please. (not even considering getting there with howard)

tim wins the tip.
