After a little more consideration, I have to give props to Cane, HarlemHeat, Mel13 and ShoogarBear. Those guys are pretty good because they stay level. Most of the posters here are far to reactionary and defeatist.
I also have to give special recognition to Parker2112 or whatever his name is . . . Although I rarely agree with what he says, I think it's cool that he called out the "old schoolers" that bailed on the Spurs this year. It's a futile, but commendable endeavor.
Trainwreck and Gonzo are my favorite posters on the site, though, they don't post in the Spurs forum nearly enough. Then again, neither do I.

The one guy I failed to mention, that was a gross oversight, was objective. He along with Harlem (who's my most like-minded poster here and he usually allows me to be lazy and nod in approval), could easily be in my top 3.
For all the talk of how this board's gone down or is in bad shape, this thread's made me realize there are plenty of quality posters here and it's not as bad as some would have you believe; there's, at a minimum, the talent to remedy it.
And I've gotta mention the purveyor of SPAM, Ed Helicopter Jones, and Shoog for their contributions; two more pretty bad oversights. But I know I'll leave this thread knowing there are still plenty of posters that deserve a shoutout who I just didn't get to . . .

It's actually kind of funny that a large group of people here dislike 228's posts, it's just so ridiculous LOL..she takes the time to post links and saves me a lot of time to look for ..she also always has good updates on injuries and whatever else, even on the NBA forum..
I appreciate the "votes" for myself and all, but this is all meaningless..some people get too butthurt over trivial like recognition and post count(this one is the worst, coming from both sides of the post count argument)..I can only imagine how some of you react to rejection in the real world..

SAN ANTONIO -- George Hill returned to the Spurs' starting lineup Monday against the Timberwolves after missing the past four games with a strained tendon in his right ankle.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is inserting Hill back into the starting lineup even though Tony Parker has been playing the past four games as a reserve after returning from his own injury.
"For these two games [to complete the regular-season schedule] we'll do this," Popovich said. "It was a rhythm we were in. Tony's just getting his rhythm back."
Hill started at point guard during Parker's most recent absence when Parker broke a bone in his right hand and sat for 16 games. The Spurs went 11-5 in that span, including wins over division-leaders Cleveland, Boston, Orlando and Los Angeles.
"They tell me he's fine," Popovich said of Hill. "I don't think I'll have him play the kind of minutes [tonight] he was playing before, no matter whether we're playing well or poorly. I'm going to throw him out there and have him with the starting players so he doesn't have to be the guy. Just let him facilitate a while and get used to it again."
Popovich said he's not sure what his starting lineup will look like, and whether Parker will be in it, once the playoffs start.

Even though he's too busy changing diapers to post now, LJ is still tops by far. For me, the best posting day in here for months was when LJ posted a lot last week. That was a day where Spurstalked went back in time for 24 hours or so to what I remember it being like.
Blackjack probably comes in 2nd for me and maybe a 1a consideration. He brings a lot of solid posts.
Otherwise, there are several other people who I enjoy reading. Harlem Heat (I think that is who it is) has stood out recently for me and Phill Chamberlin has had some great inside insight as of late. Chopper's yearly post rocked once again and Bruno always brings the best CBA analysis I can ever find anywhere.

Then you have jaffies. Created one of the funniest videos on ST. Then you realize, wait, is Hitler really mouthing that? Because I have seen other videos where he looks the same, but is saying other, just as equally funny stuff? What happens if your browser can't play youtube videos or if Hitler decides to stop making videos? Then you are stuck with someone who does not know what to do.
Then you have me, who makes you laugh, but when it comes time to cast your vote, since you are so used to it that you have become numb to the laughter, you just think "oh, I will just go with the people making fluky jokes because I don't really want to think about it". I am just being honest and funnier than the guys I am supposed to be funnier than. This is not a knock on them, but what happens when I am not there to constantly fill the void? No one will be laughing then.
