    Why is the sky blue?

    Why do birds sing?

    Why ask why?
I see. You have no arguments to sustain that silliness.

There's nothing of substance to argue. I think Pierce is a fine player and agree he is, ironically, probably one of the tougher players in the league. So if you want to make a pedantic defense of Pierce, go for it. You'll look just as silly as the Kobe fanboys trying to convince everyone that he's actually some great guy, teammate, etc. Both these guys have earned through notable actions a label that doesn't quite fit... and yet has stuck because there's just something about it that rings true.

I'm not making "a defense" of Pierce. I'm just honestly asking why do you think he's a drama queen. Because " there's just something about it that rings true"?

I mean... there's just something about it that rings true... I don't even know what to say about this. I think people just get too emotionally invested on basketball players, positively and negatively, and then create these fables out of nowhere who suddenly become conventional truth, accepted by everybody without further questioning. I prefer to spend more time discussing actual basketball skills, but to each his own. Anyway, thanks for the answer, I'm clarified.

Because his rep is the opposite. Pierce is in reality a gamer IMO.

I like to discuss both. I usually talk more about skills, stats, etc. but I enjoy both sides of it. I'm a fan of Kobe's but I'm not above laughing at him when he does some of his ridiculous stuff. No NBA player is perfect, they all have feet made of clay, from LeBron's walk-off in the ECFs last year to Duncan's "What foul?" face.

Doc would be Jack Nicholson, if he had a clue what he was doing.
