Udrih sucked while he was here, anyway
I thinks so too, especially in the playoffs. Some moments of him failing to bring the ball back up getting trapped looking completely lost will never go away from my memory.

I had fellow Yugo guy Rasho on my list too but he was better, I just felt sorry for him watching him play. He looked like a depressed, stiff robot even though he earned millions on a championship team and i don't like that.

I actually have fond memories of Dominique Wilkins. I think he did a fine job for an old veteran selling some tickets and making some highlight dunks in that terrible season that brought us into the lottery with a fantastic result.

I reckon people are enormously rough on some guys in this thread.

I reckon everyone that has passed through the Spurs organisation has played their own role. Players come and go and some are bound to be failures. but does that mean I wish they'd never pulled on a jersey - nope.

Yes some are bound to be failures, but you are still glad they came here? Two different things?

    Steve Smith

He was suppose to be a borderline star acquisition and was a big part of the reason why the Spurs did not have enough talent in the backcourt to get past the Lakers in 2002 and 2003.

Big failure by the fo in believing Steve Smith was going to be good.

    Roger Mason Jr.

I also didn't like Stoudamire but I remember Pop went after him with TP out with a injury and he signed and never complained with the lack of PT.

The same with Van Exel. Pop signed him and he never created any problem. He was just to old. I remember he tried to play with that bum elbow and the poor Beno was asking for not playing because he got some minor injuries

So I can hate those two guys so much

Yeah but I don't hate anyone, just wishing some players never wear a Spurs uniform. I don't know them personally so how could I hate them.

Getting rid of his lazy, brain damaged corpse is what ultimately cost us Luis Scola.

Vinny Del Negro. If the Spurs had a better starting SG in the mid 90's they could have won their 1st championship. He always choked so hard in the playoffs.
    Oh God yes. P-Xactly.

Del Negro was as soft as tissue paper. He was the 90's version of Matt Bonner. Only he was a SG.

How could I have ever forgotten about him? Del Negro was the beign of my Spurs fandom in the '90s. And yes, I believe if the FO hadn't been so stubbornly committed to his sorry ass, and players like him, perhaps they would've had better playoff success in the pre-Duncan era.

Last time I checked, the Spurs got by the Lakers in 03, in a BIG way. Game 6, Tim completely destroyed the Lakers and whomever guarded him. Remember this:

edit: At the beginning of the clip, Steve Smith hits a 3. Totally coincidental.

And YES. That jack-ass Rod Strickland no-look passed us out of a possible NBA Finals birth. Rod Strickland is dead to me.
This. I was just a little kid then, but I remember this clearly. er. First time I remember being devastated by sports.

Not everyone can be a star. Who cares? Blame the FO for sticking with players too long.

Paul Pressey. One of Larry Brown's major FU's.
Add me to the Del Negro hater list, what a blow-dried bum that guy was.
    Finley, of course.
Strickland, what a waste of talent. I think "the pass" cost us a le. Didn't he follow it up the next year by getting his ankles broke in a club fight?
But I think my least favorite has to be Bonner. It was a dark day when he first put on the Silver & Black. He's a cancer.
