It doesn't really offend me, but it does make me realize how stupid Wade really is.

Saying his reference to the World Trade Center was taken "completely out of context," Heat star Dwyane Wade issued an apology of sorts Monday.

"In an interview [Sunday], I attempted to explain how some people may view the Miami Heat losing a few basketball games in a row during the upcoming season," Wade said in the statement released by his public relations team. "It appears that my reference to the World Trade Center has been either inaccurately reported or taken completely out of context. I was simply trying to say that losing a few basketball games should not be compared to a real catastrophe. While it was certainly not my intention, I sincerely apologize to anyone who found my reference to the World Trade Center to be insensitive or offensive."

It isn't the comments that bug me but the arrogance. The Miami Thrice really think it is going to be so easy for them to win it all. They feel they won't have to work for it. They really believe that they won't face any adversity in the playoffs, and that everybody is just going to lie down for them.

That specific kind of arrogance bothers me. They are in for a rude awakening if they think winning it all is going to be walk in the park.

that's the media for ya ... , Jordan made a statement about LeBron and they went ahead and ran with it as if it was World Trade worthy. Was it a bad analogy, probably but it's not like he's lying.

I turned to Comcast, there's Mike's quote. ESPN? There's the quote. CNN? There's the quote. Other outlets? Radio? There's the quote. Dude was actually speaking the truth to a certain extent.

even though this was taken out of context,

Wade needs to please shut the up until the season starts.

There is nothing to be gained by talking and responding to the haters right now. Once the season is underway, and the winning starts, and the fascination skyrockets, all this will be forgotten.

    until then, please, stfu.

true that, i don't think Lakers or Celtics thought that when both got better and never said anything like that could be wrong though

His choice of hyperbole aside, the sentiment is on-point. No team has more pressure on them to win a Championship for the foreseeable future than the Miami Heat.

If they fail, they take James' legacy with them. But he's a pussy for doubling-down. I don't understand that.

Eh. Just a no-win situation. Happens all the time in b-ball. Lakers can't appreciate wins over the Clippers for instance. They're supposed to beat them. What's the upside? And if they lose, well...

They better think the journey will be hard as because championships are earned. Winning it all is anything but easy.

Getting defensive aren't we? It is more than just confidence. It is a specific type of arrogance. They have been showing it since they all united. They think just because they joined forces, that there won't be any adversity. That there won't be tough times. That there won't be ups and downs. That is the vibe I am getting from them.

Time will tell. I need to see how they handle adversity in the playoffs. On top of that, Riley needs to get Spoelstra out because he is the best coach for this roster especially in the postseason.

Look they can have all the confidence in the world. They can even be arrogant thinking they are the best team. They along with the fans better expect the journey to have its ups and downs. That it will have its frustrating moments. That there will be adversity and it won't be all laughs and smiles.

Celts are an arrogant as team. Pierce talked a ton of after the 2008 le. The best player in the world thing he should have kept to himself. KG bullies weak point guards. Eddie House during his time here, popped his jersey constantly after a made shot. Etc etc. You won't see any denial from me that the Celts are a team of bags.

Chris McKendry took a little jab at Dwyane Wade on SportsCenter after reading his apology when she said something like, "Anyone who was offended? Shouldn't it be 'everyone' who was offended?"

Then she laughed at him, lol.
