As part of this microwave society we live in, this is further proof that some celebrities and athletes want the money, fame and trappings that come with success. However, they shrivel under the criticism and pressure. It's just easier.

It's already been reported that 3 million $ went to the B&G, which was by far the biggest portion, and the other 3 million $ went to other charities..
When the whole thing started, LeBron and his "team" made a big fuss about "all" the money going to the BGCA.

We all know that "other charities" = the Maverick Carter fund for hookers and cocaine.

    That's all I'm saying.

The dog analogy had nothing to do with the money part..I compared the two, because Gilbert viewed Lebron as a pet, as a slave, like he was his master..it wasn't meant to be a complex analogy, just a simple statement..
I know what you were saying. The way it was written was poorly constructed. You should probably improve your use of parentheticals.

he gave him what he wanted at the time to make him happy(so that he would elevate Gilbert's team, which in turn, makes Gilbert a lot of $), like you would do with your dog

Maverick Carter is extremely lucky. As JoeTait has already said, if not for Lebron James, he'd be working at a McDonalds in South Cleveland, "axing" customers if they wanted any fries with their Big Mac.

He's seemingly more qualified for the South Cleveland job.

On a race related note, my car was just broken into and I chased the Mexican who did it away with a golf club. Good times.

Race is still a serious issue in America.

I admit, I do view a black person differently than someone who is white. It's more a 'my kind, their kind' at ude. I find that I've gotten more tolerant as I've grown older, but the progress is not fast enough for me to have any pride in that.

Two summers ago I was mugged by two people (black) in Franklin, IND. I spent the rest of my time there afraid of men and afraid of African American men in particular. I was aware of this, but my emotions were still getting the best of me. I would often find myself in tears, similar to what happens when I think about the brawl that destroyed the hopes of my Indiana Pacers.

I would flinch walking down the street. I felt the obvious emotional turmoil a crime creates, but I also discovered that when I was pushed to the edge, I had latent tendencies to evaluate solely on skin color.

With the economy as bad as it is here in Hawthorne, IND, I fear I am not the only one who will be subject to a crime that deepens racial tensions. It has made me more vigilant on things like racial issues. I don't want to hand racist tendencies to my future children, and that means we have to even out our society, and do it quickly before we revert to the traditional American view on skin color, as I sadly did 2 summers ago.

You'll have to excuse me, I always feel like a blubbering child when I write on this topic. It's the same way I feel when I write about the Pacers-Pistons brawl that left me in tears of rage.

In all honesty, Lebron playing the race card is a joke. While racial issues are very much still a part of this society, I sincerely doubt that he would know a racial incident if he ever encountered one. He doesn't live in the world of the average black man. LeBrick lives in a pampered world of special helpers and assistants, velvet rope VIP entrances and a variety of groupies and sycophants.

Again, no one can ever quibble with LeBrick's decision to leave. However, it's the petty, classless way in which he upon fans and an organization, on his way out. This after holding them and the league hostage for many, many weeks.

In the summer of 1996, Shaq bailed out on the Orlando Magic in free agency, leaving them high and dry for the bright lights of L.A. While he was reviled for his decision and of course, he spewed his usual brand of unnecessary verbal venom against the town and the organization after he left, he didn't go on National TV and promote his decision. He didn't so blatantly rub it in the face of everyone before millions of people.

Lebron can say what he wants, but the fact of the matter is neither HE nor his handlers are willing to accept any of the responsibility for the publich backlash that has befallen him resulting from his own actions. It make sense because he's never taken responsibility for anything. Nothing is ever his fault.

Lebron is a superstar athlete and mega-celebrity, but he's a spoiled brat - and probably has been one ever since he could dribble. He's the pampered, spoiled brat that runs through Wal-Mart, tearing up the aisles, knocking off the shelves, bumping into people and blaming everyone else for not getting out of his way. Lebron is the brat and the NBA is now his Wal-Mart. Now when adversity sets in, he's ready to step up and play the race card.

He should try explaining his pain and suffering to the numerous black inmates, who've been wrongly incarcerated for decades for crimes they did not commit. Those who were jailed simply for no other reason than they just happened to be black. I'm sure that will go over well.

Making fun of the Darrin poster, who usually rights long essays when he posts and is overly-emotional about things. Basically treats ST like his diary.

If Aaron really wanted to move into the upper echelon of trolling he would talk to himself on his profile page
