Defending Rondo one-on-one doesn't involve anything more than daring him to shoot. Rondo is dangerous in set-offense and on the break. Isolating Rondo is exactly what the Lakers did last season, because he doesn't have the offensive game to really hurt you. Obviously, when Doc Rivers actually runs isos for him against Blake, that's pretty much the ultimate insult.
Defense against offensive-challenged players is not that complicated. Anybody that actually watches games understands that.
And Blake defense is just fine if you don't want him to stay in front of anybody. Fact is, this Lakeshow bench has been outscored by almost every single team since Shannon Brown stopped with his fluke 50% shooting from downtown.
Far from just a single play. Davis (13pts/4reb) had basically the same production as Bynum (11pts/6rbs) in 5 less minutes. One is a starter, the other is the third big on Boston.
Fact is, Andrew is severely overrated by Lakerfan, while getting abused by smaller guys like Davis, Blair or scrubs like Cousins. And you want that to be your anchor?
