This definitely sucks for the Lakers and SA. I can see OKC locking up the 3, and if they don't, OKC isn't a team you'd want to meet in the second round. Scary.
See, that's what I'm thinking. They put up a uva fight last year. This adds championship experience and meanness to their crew.

What the Boston? How do you trade one of your top screeners on a team with Ray Allen? Where is Green going to get looks and how is he going to defend Bynum or Gasol if LA comes out of the West? Damn, Green was just deadwood on that Thunder team. Watching OKC last night all I could think is that they would be a le contender if they could move Green for a big and open up some more minutes for Ibaka. Well done, Presti. And why does Boston want to lose Robinson when was such an integral part of their playoff run last season? A+ deal for the Thunder: they move a so-so starter and a soft bigman and get a legit starting 5 and an upgrade at the backup PG slot. If James Harden can do something with the extra minutes he will now get then OKC could vault themselves into the le picture.
Great Post but no way Nate plays backup PG over Maynor ...My guess with harden starting they use Nate as a bench spark if harden is off. SA better not think they get an easier path avoiding Dallas this a great trade for OKC ...Perkins, Thabo Ibaka will spearhed the defense ...plus nate in an uptemp system is smart.

What are the salaries didnt Perk get an extension? Green though is a FA next season or after this one IIRC ...

add to that the bulls also..
Yep, Noah and Boozer are tougher than an old Shaq and KG ...dis has GOT interesting. Great moves by Thunder ... but they did get a bit "slower"

I'm still in shock at this deal. How do you break up a le team that's just killing this year? There's no doubt they would have beat the Heat and taken the east, and they'd probably be 65/35 vs. the Spurs and 55/45 vs. LA in a potential Finals matchup. This is one of the most bizarre deals I have ever seen at the deadline.

dont see OKC moving up to the 3rd seed but they just became an exponentially tougher out for SA/LA.

If Perk is healthy then it goes a long way to negating the advantages that Spurs/Duncan and LA/Gasol/Bynum have against them.

    Great move by Presti.

OKC is obviously the biggest winner in these trades. They've gotten the size they sorely needed.

    Coming in:
    Perkins
    Mohammed
    Robinson

    Going out:
    Green
    Kristic
    Peterson
    D.J. White

At least I can be happy that there will now be no #5 for Shaq. Miami just has to be dying in laughter right now. Whoever comes out of the West is going to have to go through two of LA, SA, Dallas, OKC; it's going to be like the 80s when Boston, Detroit, and Philly would beat the dog out of each other only to face a well-rested Lakers team.

The trade sucks but don't get carried away. With or without Perkins the C's beat those 3 s.

This trade means Boston is no longer a le contender. Even if they get Murph. They were built on having great interior defense. That's what made the great. Ainge just ed everybody here. So much so that I don't believe it.

I dont know. I think OKC has a great chance of moving to the 3rd seed. At first glance this give the Thunder exactly what they have been missing...an inside presence. Plus, if the Lakers keep playing they way they have been lately I think they can slide down to the 4th seed.

One can only think the Boston's FO knows something that we don't. Either injury related or contract related. I don't see how they could get rid of Perk if the same Perk was coming back to the team.
