We need to sign some ty team for this game next year or just have a regular ASG. Tired of watching the MLS just get their ass kicked.

I agree. Just go back to East vs West and be done with it. At least those 6-6 games were entertaining to watch.

NBC just got some MLS broadcasting rights starting next season. 45 games and some USMNT games too. Pretty good grab for them. Looks like Fox Soccer Channel is out of the MLS game. That really sucks for them.

So will ESPN still have the MLS game of the week?

ESPN will still have their games. FSC is losing theirs which are the ones NBC is picking up. I don't know how long the ESPN contract is for but I cannot see anyone out bidding them when the rights come up. In fact, I think FSC is going to be hard pressed to keep some of the rights they currently have from ESPN.

I'm torn on this because FSC is a vital cog of the growth of the sport in America and if their viability is threatened it will hurt the sport and take away our biggest outlet to watch EPL.

On the flip side, the way Fox treated the Champions League Final makes me feel that they should never be allowed to cover soccer unless its with their regular crew. ESPNSoccerChannel would be the s because I'm always impressed by ABC/ESPN's ability to broadcast a game (even if they suck at covering it on SportsCenter) - especially the biggies.

Truth be told, I hated the FSC coverage. It was very Brit centered last I checked.
I like that ESPN mixes it up a bit. There's some brit intermixed with some US here and there, and they're not afraid to throw in some other international guys.

I ing HATE FSC. I know its comcasts fault but the fact I don't get it in HD and can't get it in HD really just pisses me off. I also think they do a fairly ty job with the games they have and I do think without a doubt ESPN wants the rights to some of those leagues. ESPN has started showing quite a bit of EPL considering they don't have a dedicated soccer channel and I have extreme faith in their ability to pick up everything FSC has right now that I want to watch.

Looks like The Galaxy are picking up Robbie Keane. Peace out, Juan Pablo. I think Arena is just going to take him out back and put him out of his misery Old Yeller style.

What? I've heard nothing about that. Everything I've heard today or seen on Twitter has him linked - STRONGLY - to LA. I don't know if the Sounders have a DP spot available (I don't think they do). LA only does if they drop JPA but obviously they want to move him ASAP in any way possible given how bad he's been.

99% sure Robbie is going to LA.

I guess that's what makes this rumor so silly.

tbh Beckham needs to be in the discussion for MVP this season. Seems like it would be a mistake for England to not even consider him as a specialist of the bench. He's in great form.

Beckham is picking apart Colorado. Why the are they not defending him?

The Galaxy are looking great, while the Rapids look like they are wearing cement boots.

Since moving to MF Sean Franklin is the ing goods. He's playing amazing over the past month. Genius move by Arena.

Galaxy are in some good form when they have the pedal to the floor. They hold back a lot since they have 309483940830 games in the next month but for the most part they're a couple of levels above the rest of the league.

@ Rafa's comments in the media today. Dude is good, but he's not THAT good.

Marquez criticizes teammates after Red Bulls' latest loss

If things weren't bad enough in New York Red Bulls land, Rafa Marquez has gone and made them worse with his latest public comments.
Speaking through an interpreter after New York's dismal 3-1 loss to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, Marquez criticized his teammates, saying they were not on his level.
"I'm focusing on really performance at my highest level. That doesn't mean that the whole backline can perform at that same level, so that’s a problem," Marquez told the NYDailyNews.com. "I think this is a team game and unfortunately there isn't an equal level between my teammates and I."
Marquez, who was booed by fans at Red Bull Arena nearly every time he touched the ball on Wednesday, has come under much scrutiny in recent weeks as New York has won just one of its last 10 matches, leaving the Red Bulls on the outside of the playoff picture.
What do you think of Marquez's comments? Is he right?
