Sparky just layed some ownage to a Pistons fan.
Go back to the link dumb . Then recognize you never had an argument to begin with. man, watch a game sometime and stop using the boxscore as a crutch.
Sparky just layed some ownage to a Pistons fan.
I read the link. Malone was hurt in Game 5. I don't see how that proves he was hurt in Game 1. Even you probably understand that Game 5 comes after Game 1.
Here - I'll help you out by giving you the linke to the Game 2 recap:
http://www.nba.com/games/20040608/DETLAL/recap.html
"Walton's energy in the first half helped the Lakers open a 44-36 lead. But the news was not all good as Karl Malone suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee, the same one he tore earlier this season that forced him to miss 40 games."
He reinjured his knee in Game 2. Which means he wasn't hurt in Game 1. Which means we beat a fully healthy Lakers squad on their own court by 12 points. No matter how much you attempt to rewrite history, this remains the truth.
Dude, you're the one who started an "It's Over" topic when the Spus lost game 1 in the Denver series. What changed your mind?
Ease up player.

I must apoligize I think my ealier reports could have been fabricated,....
Again, Malone hurt that knee in the 2004 WCF. Yes, he nutted up and made a go of it in the Finals yet was nowhere near what he was when the Spurs played the Lakers in the 2004 playoffs. Yeah, he hurt that knee again during the course of the Finals and ultimately had to sit down for fear of not being able to play ever again.
The Pistons did not face the same Laker team in last year's playoffs that the Spurs faced so stop trying to pretend otherwise.
The premise of your original argument is invalid for that reason and I would add that the Spurs have a real starting center now this season, unlike last season. But of course you knew that...if not, , check a boxscore Piston fan.
Sequ's back peddling reminds me of when I had to come clean on Live Tv for CBS, that day was a day , I will never forget...
Sequ got....

And again you can't answer my question you chump.
Give me an EXACT point where somebody on the Lakers was hurt in the T'Wolves series. Credible sources (as in NBA.com and not your dumb ass) seem to have missed this phantom "injury" that made the Lakers weaker going into the Pistons series.
Karl Malone almost had a triple double in Game 4 against Minnesota, and followed that up with 17 pts/9 rebounds in Game 5. Please explain what happened to him between these games and Game 1 of the Finals (besides the Pistons' D of course).![]()
Are you telling me you beat a much better team Miami with an injured ShaQ & Wade than the 2004 Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Malone, & Payton, who beat us in 2004?
.
I'm gonna repost what I posted in another thread. This also applies to my fellow Piston fans.
Bottomline is all this speculation about who did what against who is foolish, we both haven't played teams like each other. It's going to be Spurs vs Pistons, not the Pistons that played the Heat, or beat the Lakers last year vs. the Spurs that played the Suns, or lost to the Lakers last year.
Like I said earlier, I think this series could go either way, and it's gonna come down to who wants it more and who performs. Not who did what against who in the past.
Can Piston fan not read?Is USA Today not a "credible source"?
realityMalone injured his knee in the Western Conference finals against Minnesota, but kept it quiet as the series went on. He had the knee drained June 1 — a day after the Lakers eliminated the Timberwolves and five days before Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
And the reality is that he performed quite well throughout that series even though he was supposedly "injured". So what changed?
Rasho could put up 17 and 9 on the Wolves frontcourt.
Well SA must really have sucked then because they lost the division to the Wolves.
It sure is amusing to sit here and watch you attempt to discredit all the teams that went further than the Spurs in the playoffs last year.
It's more amusing to see you hang on to the fumes of yesteryear.
I will be happy to hang on the merits of this year after the Pistons smoke Timmy & Co.
The spurs didn't match up well to LAL. Malone could contain Duncan. San Antonio couldn't hit 3's because Turkoglu sucked in the playoffs. This years team is much better and is more versatile. I heard Fisher and Malone were hurt and Kobe had a bad matchup with Prince. The Lakers weren't a running team either so that worked for Detroit. There are many other reasons also.
I heard the mavs lost in first round last season.
