I disagree with much of what you say, but I don't disagree with it because you say it. I harbor no bias against you; how could I, after all? I don't know you.

Concerns for ex post facto laws tend (by and large) to coincide with arguments that the law is uncons utional (because it is an ex post facto law). That's the entire basis for my response to your statement. I'm not going to apologize for failing to engage in some tedious effort to find out if your statement was more nuanced. It's a message board.
