If he's caught up in rumors then he'll never amount to anything in this game.
I'm sure he knows something...even if its just rumors

Free agent Grant Hill is expected to choose a team this afternoon, according to a league source. The source said Hill will decide between the team where he has played the past four years, the Phoenix Suns, and a newly emerged contender: the San Antonio Spurs.
One thing the source ruled out: “It won’t be New York.”
The Knicks had been a rumored destination for Hill, but now they are now attempting to shed salary, not add it, so they can pursue Tyson Chandler.
The Spurs are apparently willing to give the 39-year-old Hill a second year on his contract, which the Suns would not. If Hill, a small forward, were to sign with the Spurs it would presumably coincide with San Antonio using the amnesty provision to waive small forward Richard Jefferson, who has three years and $30 million remaining on his contract.
Contender? maybe not. Better record? Not sure I would go that far. Spurs wont have the best record again, but I dont think they will fall to number 8. Clips on the other hand didnt even make POs, they finished 13th out of 15 teams. It would be an accomplishment to make the POs for them.
I understand your point about the future, looks bleak. But to go from #1 to #8, or #13 up to #8 the following year are both drastic swings.
So then if we're not a contender why would someone come here if they want to win a ring?
I think you may have just answered your own question. Aside from Ford, they're not. All the FAs (aside from ford) are going for other teams, I'm guessing they think their chances are greater elsewhere (or greater money). Personally I think caron did it for the money, clips may have something in the future as some may think, but not next year.

On Knicks-Chandler front, sources say it looks like Billups will be amnestied and Turiaf will be sent out in separate deal. No sign/trade.

The Hornets are near a deal to send Chris Paul to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, league source tells Y! Sports.

Relax guys. Deep down You know what will happen. Pop will sign someone like Bostian Nachbar and tell you to stfu and be happy.![]()
I have no problem with the Lakers getting rid of their bigs.
Spurs match up much better with Paul Lakers than Odom-Bynum Lakers
Odom makes no sense for the Hornets. The Spurs should offer Blair, McDyess, Butler and a 1st. They probably wouldn't take it, but maybe Demps will feel indebted to Buford and Pop and help them out. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.
@ LA getting rid of their bigs and sticking to their soft one..
How does this make sense to them?
Wrong. Stranger things have NOT happened than getting Chris Paul for DeJuan Blair, Antonio McDyess, Da'Sean Butler and a low 1st round pick. That suggestion is patently absurd.

Correction: The proposed deal to the Lakers is Chris Paul for Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, source says.
now Lakers still have Bynum to give to Magic for D Howard, great...
Learn to read. Who said anything about Paul? I said Odom. They'd walk away with Bynum, Blair, Butler, a 1st in a deep draft and more cap space. It would also free them up to trade Okafor, who'd bring more assets. I also said they probably wouldn't do it, but it's worth a shot.
It'd be for Odom
Yeah that makes more sense for LA. That would suck.
Am I crazy to think that this wouldn't be such a bad thing? I still think a team of Bryant, Paul, and Howard can still be very beatable.. who else do they have after that?
This Lakers team has NO bench, and now they're going to be lacking a very complete starting five.. for 3 stars?
I'm not buying on that team winning much.
Thank God it's Gasol and not Bynum. Lakers frontcourt is nothing now. Orlando would be the biggest ing idiots in the world to trade Howard for Bynum.
If they end up not getting Howard, who are their starting bigs the first five games?

It sounds like the Lakers had agreed to send Bynum and Odom to New Orleans but reneged. Then, Hornets agreed to take Gasol and Odom instead.
