First and foremost; I am new here guys and yes I am a Laker fan who just so happens to follow the Spurs (secondly that is...). I love this town by the way and the folks.
Anyway, Tim's gonna have to take over. Period. Forget Manu. Forget Tony. Tim is the leader and he's gonna have take the guys to the promised land.

Yes, I went through the spectrum of emotions just like others in here while watching the last 2 games. Mad, sad, embarrassed and distancing, etc.
I wish the Spurs would play their game and play through adversity but as I said from the beginning I didn't think the Spurs would win in Detroit but would hold serve at home. Spurs in 7 and I'm still a believer.

The only "truth" I hear is people giving up on a team that's TIED in the Finals.
Now, if the Spurs get swept, I could understand the anger and frustration. , a bad Game 5 would warrant these kind of outbursts.
I really just don't understand this at ude of "Spurs played two crappy games in a row, so they must suck. Never mind they won the first two, and are 15 of 16 in those situations. If you're gonna quit, do it all the way. Quit the forum. Quit watching the NBA. Take up Golf or Tennis.

Gosh, the Spurs loose 2 games and their fans are jumping ship. Doesnt seem very loyal.
Don't judge all Spurs fans by a few who have lost faith.
Park, question for you. What about the Pistons in game two? They looked like they quit, and they had it handed to them (almost) as bad as the Spurs in game four. Now, all of a sudden, they're tied up at 2. They bounced back. Game three has no bearing on game four has no bearing on game five. They all come out at 0-0. The Spurs know what they need to do to win, and they usually do exactly that.
If you're expecting a sweep, then you're going to be disappointed. No team has ever swept the whole playoffs. The Spurs are a two time champ, and they're deep in the playoffs every year. They're year in and year out a finals compe or.
With that pedigree, I'd chalk games three and four up as an anomaly, rather than the rule, wouldn't you?
If you didn't quit during the 2001 series against the Lakers, I can't imagine why you would throw it in now.
