Phewwww, haha. I saw Frankie's tweet and I was like " , you invented that gameplan"![]()
I think it was a troll thread on Sherdog but on Facebook a lot of people think Diaz won. I thought he lost 3-2..

Jackson is really the king of coming up with winning game-plans and he did it again.. He told Condit to fight a disciplined fight for 25 min if needed.. Diaz wears people down and then corners them for the kill. Condit moved out of danger every time Diaz has him cornered. Diaz could have put more pressure on but seemed convinced he was winning the fight by backing Carlos up even though i clearly heard Nate tell him going into round 5 "They're up 3-1" He obviously felt otherwise..
explain that stupid logic. What was he supposed to do? Stand there toe to toe for 25 minutes? Diaz NEVER stopped pursuing!!! Yet Condit still stood his ground PLENTY. And knowing the chin of Diaz, Condit picked his shots plenty. If both guys had the gameplan of Diaz this fight would've probably been 2 minutes of brawling ending in a KO. I wouldn't call that smart. I'd call that more of a street fight rather than an MMA fight
The thing is Condit said he was gonna go toe 2 toe & slug it out with him, I jus saw that vid a while ago, I try & look for it again!!!
IMO that was not a close fight. Condit was landing all the time and Nick was unable to provide his own game which he is master of.
Carlos was great. Those pushoffs and stopkicks were fantastic.
Jacksons gameplan worked fine. Diaz leg was sore as .
Anyway I could not believe ppl thought Diaz won it.
In the 4th I said - damn Condit is toying with Diaz.
I'm satisfied and want to see Condit vs Sanchez Ellenberger winner or even y Hendricks.
I understand Diaz not want to do this anymore. He was forced to do all the press and all that he hates and then robbed on decision.
Hyhy him
waiting on condit to go down with an "injury" to set up the buy rate for gsp v diaz fight...
Historically in boxing and MMA judges do no reward fighters who back up and try to counter. I rewatched the fight and you could make a case Diaz edged out the first 2 RDS and def he got the 5th. But Diaz has no room to complain. He did not push the pace when there was ample time for him to do so. Diaz seemed convinced he was winning the fight and maybe he laid back more than he should have.
And Fight Metric had Condit winning a very close fight..

Really don't understand what people are ing about. I thought it was close, but I thought Condit won. The 5th round was obviously Diaz but he wasted the first two rounds by taunting instead of fighting. You're going to tell me that doesn't play into the minds of the people judging?
Diaz deserves to lose simply because he didn't think he had to ing try. If he comes out balls to the wall early on and actually gives the fight the proper respect it deserves he probably wins easily.

My main issue with the decision was that it was unanimous not split. What I thought was going to happen was that Condit would see his strikes weren't landing effectively so he would take the fight to the ground, and Diaz would take adv with his BJJ. That didn't happen of course and that might have been part of the game plan considering Condit never attempted a TD or clinch for that matter. I'll give him props for his RNC defense at the end of the 5th, thought it was over once Diaz got the hooks in.
I'm sure at one point or another we will see Diaz/Condit again as well as GSP/Diaz.
How long is GSP out for? What about a rematch before GSP gets healthy.
I had Condit winning the fight easily. Nick may have gotten points for aggression, but Octagon control was all Condit. His movement dictated where the fight was fought. Diaz wanted it against the cage and could not get it there. Constantly moving forward is not Octagon control. Condit was beating Diaz to the punch every time with his excellent movement and footwork, and Nick never adjusted. He just kept coming forward. That was a clinic on how to deal with an advancing opponent.
Dana considering rematch if GSP isn't ready on time:
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/2/6/...tch-dana-whiteI was thinking the same thing. It's crazy, but. I was thinking it after the fight. You know, people are ing and thinking it was close or whatever, we can do that fight again before GSP comes back. It depends on Carlos too, he's really gotta say, and Nick's gotta say I want to fight him again too."
Thats ty. Carlos looks bad if he tries to duck Diaz but the truth is that he earned the ing le shot they took from him to begin with. Stop ing with Condit. God damn I hate Dana ing White.
I would much rather see Condit rematch Ellenberger if he gets past Diego Sanchez. That was a closer fight than Condit vs Diaz.
He likely won't have to fight Diaz if he is opposed to it but maybe someone else if GSP is really out until Nov. GSP could be out longer maybe Dec or Jan he is not going to rush back and risk a career ending injury.. Dana already tried to suggest GSP coud be back by summer and GSP dispelled that telling reporters his doctors are saying November at earliest..

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has confirmed that someone tested positive for a banned substance in drug testing at UFC 143. What has not yet been confirmed is who that someone was, or what that substance was.
In an e-mail to the media sent on Thursday, Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer acknowledged that there has been great sustained interest in knowing what the results of drug tests were at UFC 143, and he confirmed that someone tested positive. But he declined to elaborate further than that.
"Thank you for the many email and phone calls. I am still waiting for all the steroid and drug test results to come back. We did have at least one positive test. I will send out an email later today on that matter," Kizer said in his e-mail, in which the word "many" was bolded.
