When I think injury I think longer term and more serious than what is basically a bad bruise. If it was the playoffs he would likely play. He might only miss the OKC game and at the most will miss the back to back.

This is nothing new, people associated with sports (fan/players/staff) have had the weirdest supers ions for ages. For example, a lot of baseball players believe that there is a correlation between their hitting abilities and choice of underwear. Deep down most of these people know that this isn't possible, but they still do whatever dumb thing their brain comes up with to "help" their cause.
