Guys seem to have a very confident fanbase... But I can't help but think you guys made similar predictions over the Memphis series last year.
no, im pretty sure every Spurs fan sensed something wasn't quite right about last year, and trust me spurs fans weren't very confident for the playoffs last year, but now we're better

Is it possible the Spurs threw that last game just to make Jazz have false confidence?

Not at all. Manu was injured. He's not this year, plus the Spurs are deeper and the Grizzlies are simply better than the Jazz. No comparison to our pre-series sentiments. I respect the Jazz but just think the Spurs will outmatch them rather convincingly.

That's a cheezy prediction. Monroe is just trying to be different and noticed.

Kind of like he did against Lionel Hollins?
Manu was injured and the Spurs weren't as good last season as this season. Besides, the Spurs had a hobbled Tim Duncan all by himself against the Grizzlies front line. I think that anyone could've stood in as a coach for the Grizzlies last playoffs and beaten the Spurs that series. No special props warranted, although I think Hollins is a good coach. The Spurs were just injured, flat and weak in the front court.
