As far as the camera, there are dozens of free camera apps if you don't like the features in the stock camera app.

I haven't ever needed anything over 4gb but a quick (admittedly superficial search) seems to indicate that it can read exfat.

the buzz is it is quicker, takes fewer resources, and there is something wrong if it is not extending your battery life.
Tbh my whole experience with AOSP is mostly limited to CM and the S3. I read that the Nexus run AOSP flawlessly but for the S3 I know I'm far from the only one who went back to custom roms based on the Samsung versions. That said it got better the last time I tried CM and only the camera bugs were really annoying.

Ah ok, I don't have an S3 so I can't really speak to that. If you found something that works for you, there is no reason to change.

Got my Nexus, we haven't switched to T-mobile yet, so it is just wifi at the moment, but this phone is damn fast. The camera is very nice and I am digging the photosphere feature. I got it on craigslist from an iFan who wanted to try android. He bought it, tried it for a day and decided that he is too invested in the apple ecosystem to make a jump. He showed me the receipt to verify when he bought it (bought feb 28, delivered yesterday). Total cost for the phone and the charging orb was 475ish (tax and shipping too), and I bought it from him for 360 for both things. I wasn't going to buy the orb, but he was selling the phone for 340 and the orb for 40, I took a stab to see if he would take 360 for both and he initially turned me down, then decided he didn't want to do another sale through CL so he did them both for that amount. F-ing awesome.

Wow, nice coup you got there. With Vanilla AOSP too, you're set.

Funny becauseI got a Nexus S last year from an Apple fan and I got it for only 120 dollars. I seem to get good deals from Apple fan to don't know what they have hopefully I can repeat that because my wife want a nexus for now to you then I will probably also be responsible for finding the phone for my third line

Ok, a quick (and yes, premature) update.

I took both phones to work with me. I haven't activated the nexus, so it is on airplane mode with wifi active. I had to plug in my evo at 5 hours and 18 minutes with 46 mins of screen on time because it had drained to 11%. My nexus has been off the charger for 12 hours and 8 minutes with screen on time of 56 minutes and it currently sits at 76%.

I recognize that part of it is due to airplane mode, but to offer up a small mitigating factor there, I had the display on full brightness for half the day. I will be ultra-happy if I am at 50% after 12 hours with airplane mode off.

Ok, I got it activated 2 days ago. I am no longer getting 2 full days, but I am getting 14 hours with 3.5 hours of screen on time and my wife is getting 14 hours with 4 hours of SOT.

I can live with that, especially since this is all bone-stock.

With the price drop, it's hard to beat the N4 and either T-Mobile prepaid or Straight Talk/Net10 on AT&T as a budget phone option.

In other news, the latest rumors are that there will be 2 Nexus phones out this fall: a Nexus 5 based on the LG G2 and a revised Nexus 4 made by Motorola and based on the Moto X.
