Ian Mahinmi: (11:05 PM ET ) The difference? It's not the same style of play. Here, the play is more athletic, they are shooters, there is more pressure, there is more money -- that's really, really different. You got a lot of fans, compared to France, it's very different.

Knicks fans are about as intelligent as their GM who thinks his job is to make every other team better than his. Isiah and Knick fans think basketball is scored more like golf. They'll learn one day.
For him to stay in the draft and to be present in NY I'm assuming he had a hard promise from the Spurs that he was their first round pick.

The Spurs didn't scout over 8 countries to grab a player they weren't very high on. Did you see that monster walking to the podium? 18 yrs old!!! Give the KID a yr in Europe, put 20 lbs of muscle on him, teach him to shoot the J, and send him over.
