He doesn't play because "fairness."
i believe you only need to post the images on a hosting site, like photobucket etc...and then post the link of the pics on here using the "Insert Image" tab. i haven't posted my pics on here, just mainly obnoxious gifs, but i believe that's how it works for personal pics as well.
He doesn't play because "fairness."
He doesn't play because he still doesnt rotate on defense well and he can't box out his man for .
oh so thats why Bonner Blair and 1 rebound per 30 minute Diaw play
And Bonner does those things well?![]()
baynes should be getting more minutes than the redheaded pop pleaser! he actually plays aggresively and the rebounding seems to improve when he's on the court! something we definitely needed tonight!
D-League minutes are on average faster paced than those of the NBA.
Dude got winded there too. It's a concern.
^I wonder if it's just his huge size??^ He should only be used in short spurts anyways. But seriously, it looks like he lifts chest and shoulders 4 x a week.

Cause Bonner and Pop are golf buddies. That's why.
But I bet there is less pushing and shoving (i.e. defending) needed under the basket in the D-League. That may tire one out even more than "just" running the floor ...
not worried about him being winded. Tiago was the same back then and even now gets winded
If given chance to play it would be in short stretches off the bench anyway, him getting winded wouldn't concern me. Of course, that's a big 'if'.
If Pop is serious about the defensive iden y thing, those 3-5 minutes Blair checks in for should go to Baynes. I'd understand getting Blair in there only if we were desperate for some offensive spark
Baynes is looking to impress: his attention adrenaline levels will be up and he will be trying hard all the time. It's what basketballers of all grades do when they are trying to break into the next level up or are unsure of themselves. We all know that basketball is a game of spurts of activity and then runs of slower pace, but for Baynes, instead of conserving energy for short moments and getting his breath back he will be putting out effort and moving all that muscle will take some effort.
This thread makes me feel like that commercial where that guy is sitting in a circle with those kids asking what's better more or less. Pop is the guy asking who should play more Baynes or Bonner. An im one of the kids saying baynes because he can do more an he plays defense better leaving us to want more an Bonner do less stuff so we want more we want more. An Bonners not him so we want more.
i expect him to play much more from next year.
This is not the best way to learn. Tired of hearing fans thinking that a head coach would just throw a player onto the floor to see what he can do. Players need to learn what are the team offensive and defensive schemes before they are allowed significant time on the courts. This can best be learned through training camp and preseason. Splitter and James Anderson both struggled initally due to missed training camps.
I think there are minutes to go around for Baynes and there has been for sometime especially with some of the games we've played but it's a little late to try to get him involved.
Because POP is is in love with Bonner for some reason. Watch him creep up again in MINS as the playoffs approach, bet on it.
Ahhh... the tired old "can't play without training camp" makes yet another appearance. A popsucker classic.
I think Baynes could get more minutes, even if Bonner doesnt play less.
sshh now why would you bring common sense into this thread??
don't you see Baynes is the next coming of Hakeem?

Lol baynes is an nba rookie who came in midseason and people here want him to play 15 minutes per game even during the playoffs. I'm fine with spot minutes when both Tim and Tiago are resting to avoid having no rim protector, but that's about it. Bigger minutes next season though
Splitter struggled because of the way Pop tried to play him, instead of giving him consistent minutes allowing him to gain chemistry with his teammates, familiarity with the system and confidence he threw him out there every once and a while and expected him to produce.
There was a few games in 2011 where TD went out and Splitter stepped up big time, they wound up losing all their games however Splitter was the lone bright spot and made the Spurs nearly beat the 3 teams. When that happened everyone here thought for sure he'd keep his starting role, he was of course sent back to the bench.
Splitter wasn't as good as he is now however he still was a very good player and with him starting the Spurs don't lose to Memphis that year.
