Did I use the word "INTENTIONAL" anywhere in my ing post? No, I never said it was ing intentional, NBA athletes have enough respect for each other to not try and purposefully injure their peers; unless they're a ing nutjob like Artest.

What I said was it was a " ING STUPID DIRTY PLAY" and is the exact reason why you don't barrel through someone trying to steal the ball when you know they're about to call a timeout; I can understand it was an honest hustle play in the playoffs trying to make a difference, but you just don't ing do it. You're not going to steal the ball before the ref awards a timeout, and the player is defenseless against contact; plus it negates any foul that may happen. It's the same ing thing of hitting a player in the air from behind or under them; you just don't ing do it. Of course a ing no name punk ass rookie like Beverley wouldn't know any better; nor any of these lame ass es on here who haven't stepped on a hardwood court in their life.

Of course you keep playing even if it looks like he's calling timeout. LOL the Spurs used to get free points in the playoffs all the time from faking the timeout.

Wow, didn't think it was that serious; considering how strong Westbrook finished the game.

Of course you keep playing, I've seen the Spurs pull off that cheap trick numerous times; but there's a difference between continuously playing good defense until the whistle blows and coming full speed at a ball handler coming to a stop and isn't looking.

Of course I'm ing mad, Westbrook is a promising extremely compe ive young athlete that could achieve great things if he developed right; it's ing painful to see someone like him or Rose have a knee injury in their prime. I don't ing expect you to be able to relate but it really ing pains me to see something like this to happen to anyone; this year's playoffs, you don't know what can happen with a ing knee injury and it all happened on a stupid play that could of been avoided.

I'm sure Westbrook probably brushed it off like it was nothing so the trainers had no reason to look at it. Meniscus tears are extremely difficult to diagnose.

You're kidding about coming back, right? Meniscus tear is about as bad a knee injury as one can get in the NBA, since meniscus is completely dead and never grows back. Think Chris Webber, Brandon Roy, Anfernee Hardaway, etc. Remember how much athleticism Duncan lost after his meniscus tear? Westbrook will never be the same player again.
This would be incorrect the severity and placement of the tear would determine if it was dead with no chance at recovery. My wife had thought she was going to get her balky knee cartilage shaved and she'd be back on her feet in a week or so but the surgeon saw that the tear was in a place where there was good blood supply, so instead of shaving it, he surgically repaired it. She went from 1 week to 6 weeks of being off her knee but that thing is now feeling good. Her surgeon did a really good job. The question for Westbrook is, which option is he going to take if he knows that if he chooses repair, he's done for the playoffs probably.

injuries happen. okc is just lucky that they hadn't experienced any injuries to their main core sooner than this. usually by now a couple at least moderately severe injuries would have happened to their core.

You always opt for any type of repair before going with getting cut on by a doctor. I ended my career because I had to have the damaged areas shaved and it just never held up the same. The shock from playing get's to be way too much.
