Divorce among regular people is crazy high, among celebrities it's gotta be close to 90% or more. There's just too many options and women/men are just too damn difficult these days. The generations of women starting around 1960 were really growing up with the "Disney Complex" thinking they're princesses and and expecting to be catered to and babied. Men of the same era started growing up expecting a housewife like mom and getting wives who have said complex. Most women and men before that, like our grandmothers/grandfathers, grew up with no such pretense and knew life was hard from the beginning so they just stuck it out.

Add in the global communication age and like Facebook where exes can find each other and you can meet new people to in the blink of an eye for no cost and it's just too much overload for most people.

Yeah, the court docs are pretty convincing. I'm not sure there is another interpretation, though I chuckled at the line about Tim Duncan having a son named Draven who was maybe born in 2007 but being unable to confirm the date. Yeah, Amy was very visibly pregnant during the 2007 Finals and there was a very sweet picture of the two of them with confetti falling taken then.

As for their divorce, it's shocking in some ways and completely unsurprising in others. Statistically, they were very likely to be divorced, and none of us really know them. I'm sorry for them and for their kids that their marriage didn't work out, but it happens. It sounds like they are trying for a low-key, amicable divorce. I hope that they are able to remain good partners in parenting for their kids. Given that divorces and the dissolution of a marriage doesn't happen overnight, I doubt this impacts Tim terribly on the court. I still think it's ridiculous that the EN felt this was something that needed to be publicized today.

Very sad. Always looked up to Tim in keeping his marriage intact over the years. Feel terrible for the Duncan family. Regardless of the reasons, divorce just plain sucks.
