In a daze.....
2010 Lakers won both games 6 & 7 and became champions
Same here tbh...
The Heat went big and we figured them out. The Heat went small and we figured them out. There is no place else for the Heat to go. We got this.
I feel cautiously hopeful. I don't expect a win, but I feel they can do it. Unlike the blowouts the Spurs handed MIA, MIA blowouts weren't start to finish leads for the most part. They were short unbelievable stretches later in games. Spurs were hanging tight & the wheels fell off.
Hopeful they do not fall off tonight. I kind of have that feeling I used to have before my own big college games where you are anxious but calm. That moment where the national anthem is playing, your head is down and you're bouncing subtly. That's how I feel.
I feel that the Heat will blow out the Spurs, which is unfortunate because then the Heat will have the advantage in game 7. Their backs are against the wall and their role players get the home court boost of energy. For the Spurs to win the game, the big 3 will need to match the Heat's big 3 again but I don't think that's very possible since Lebron will play hard in close out games. When the Heat were down 3-2 against the Celtics last year, Lebron put up 45/15 and 31/12 in the final 2 close out games.
At this point, I won't really relax until the Spurs have the LOB trophy in their hands. The Heat are still very dangerous and have proven they can blow out the Spurs if the Spurs slip even an inch. If the Spurs come out slow, the Heat will smell blood. History proves that game 7 goes to the home team and the momentum can easily shift back to the Heat. The Spurs need to bunker down and just stay close until the end of the 4th quarter.
This is my take as well. What else can riley/spoelstra throw at POP?
Spur fans need one more punch to the gut with a loss in game 6. They are getting too y. It will make the game 7 win sweeter.
Probably would but it would take another couple years off my life. Please let's win tonight.
Apply pressure on the ball handler, wear parker down, create turnovers by creating pressure on the ball handler, don't give the Spurs who like to stand around on the 3 point line open looks. Parker is the only Spur capable of beating pressure consistently. Manu is prone to turnovers and forget about everyone else when pressured.
A few possibilities:
1. We come out thinking we have 2 games to get this done (huge mistake)
2. We come out playing like our backs are against the wall
3. We do a number 2 (no pun intended.. well maybe) but play nervous and hesitant
4. We run it down their throats from the opening tip and never let up because they abandon game plans and go hero mode.
Energy alone will give the Heat the early lead but hopefully we keep it manageable. We need big plays, hustle for every lose ball and some good refereeing if we are going to have a chance in the 4th.
I agree here, same gut feeling based on how the series has gone. Hoping for a reversal though.
I'm nervous as crap. We gotta close this out tonight. I REALLY don't want a game 7...
All I know is that I'm nervous as and I'm about to get off work at 5:30 here in Northern Cali. I want to manage to drive fast to catch the start of the game without crashing out there seeing how nervous I am right now. I can barely type 'cuz my fingers are shaking, lol.
I think manu tries to hard to pass the ball instead of dribbling out himself out of situations.
