Wrong. Suns are worth upwards of 100 million more now than when they were purchased 9 years ago.

That's projected, but I think it quoted Forbes.

Suns were actually "worse" in public perception in 2003-04 and Colangelo was a motivated seller.

Suns had missed playoffs 2/3 seasons, were averaging like 43 wins a year for the last 8 seasons, had a few "scandals" with Dumars, Kidd, and Robinson, and had advanced past the first round only once since the 94-95 season.

For as down as they are, as you've said, they are still making money, and are more well regarded by fans, mostly from the "fun-n-gun" days.
If that's really true, it just shows how much of a heavily-subsidized bull industry professional sports is if Sarver can add $100,000,000 in enterprise value by running a franchise into the ground.

Most recent Forbes ranking has team worth between $470-490 million.

    Sarver purchased for $404 million.

With a new Arena, value would top $500 million.

It's truth. The value has increased 75-85 million realistically as of January 2013.

Not a business expert, so maybe it's fake added value through inflation, etc.?

That would mean it lost value. Adjusted for inflation, $404m in 2004 -> $498m now per the inflation calculator

    Interesting.

I'm not someone who can discuss beyond basic numbers.

Forbes made it sound like it increased in value from the article, not just increased in cost.

Despite economic downturn, revenue increased substantially under Sarver compared to final 9 seasons under Colangelo. That is fact. No idea how it matters.

Caron Butler is a washed-up fossil, Bledsoe doesn't fit the roster and wasn't sticking around regardless, and Re /Dudley will provide the floor spacing and legitimate spot-up threats the Clipps lacked last season.... not sure why people still aren't getting why this trade had to be done, tbh....

All this talk about bledsoe being a chip to get some good players and they ended up with dudley(who will have spurts of good shooting but will not be reliable night in night out) and chucker JJ Re . Bad move for the clippers imho

Dudley will only get better than 39% with a PG like Paul and open shots from kickouts. Didn't get much slack with crappy Suns last year.

Shot 52% form 2pt range, 39% from three point range. 2:1 assist to turnover ratio. 1.29 PPS. 58% true shooting percentage. Rebounding is sub-par. Steals are average.

Maybe youre spoiled with Kawhi Leonard but not may SFs are able to duplicate that type of shooting and passing.

Sorry CN but Cully is pretty dead on here. He was good as a 15-20 MPG role player in 2010, but no way in is he a starter, and he does hide it by being a likeable guy.

Even someone like me who tries to downplay a player's personality used as an excuse for his ty play can't stop himself from being a Dudley fan.

He's a championship caliber role player. If he's their sixth man, at 25 mpg, he can replicate the 10-11 PPG, 50+/40+ FG/3FG% of his highly efficient 2010 year.

If he's more than your fifth/sixth best player, your team's in trouble.

Dude is probably better than most scrubs but his ceiling is no higher than Matt Barnes imho, or the 09' Ariza whichever is better, so yes, he may be a championship caliber role player but that's like the best he can ever be
