Anderson threw the fight. It was clear as a bell that he didnt take it seriously and wanted to get out of the limelight. I mean, he knew this guy was bad ass.....and to clown and drop your hands? He basically said, come and knock me the out and take the belt. He could have taught Weed a lesson. Even in his clowning Silva showed he was clearly faster and could tag Weed at ease. Now, that being said. Weed is a great fighter, no disrespect at all. But he was basically handed that damned belt. I had a whole room full of people that agreed that the was staged for Silva to step down.

    no it isn't!

but the debate of mma vs boxing is pointless. boxers stepping into mma without the years of training in a martial art or wrestling would get mollywhopped; same goes for a mma fighter stepping into a boxing ring.

i like both but would rather watch a thrilling 12 round boxing match than a 1-2 round mma fight.

MMA has it because you can use more than just your fists. If you miss a shot and get taken down, its over. The boxer would get his ass shaped into a pretzel and tap out like a massive . Same goes with a Boxer only using his hands, and getting kicked in the mouf............lights out.

    1. Yes it is. Youre in denial. Kobes better, no duncans better, no kobe, no duncan. Its all pointless gibberish. But still fun.

    2. while I tend to agree with your second point, my point is MMA fanboys claim MMAers are superior to boxers, but they wont get in a boxing ring with a boxer, and boxers have gotten in ring with MMAers.

    3. So would I. I like MMA when guys exchange on their feet with the occassional take down and grapple. I guess I can only take men dry humping each other in tights for so long. *no *

there are some good debates and conversationson on this board and other forums as well. i wouldn't call it pointless, doggie. i agree with both 2 and 3, though.
