lol people trying to justify keeping their dog outside in summer heat

I'm sorry but if you're doing that this summer it totally is animal cruelty. Just because they haven't died yet doesn't mean they enjoy sitting outside in that heat.

did you buy your pup through a certified breeder?
Ya, paid 1500$, and I've spent a lot of money on expenses, and he just had surgery for a rare cancer that the vets had never seen before, 6 weeks ago..luckily, he has recovered well and he's back to normal, tbh..

My girl is a vet tech, so she gets everything half price, that's been a huge aid..and we got pet insurance immediately, which has saved us over 4000$ on this surgery + the MRI, etc..

My dog refuses to go outside during the afternoon during peak, humid Summer hours, tbh..he goes outside to piss, smells something for 20 seconds, then heads back inside..

Nor to mention alot of problems that arise from overheating don't happen immediately. The dog might survive this summer but suffer down the road. Also curious if these people that keep their dogs outside all the time even bother to get their vaccinations or have them on flea and worm preventatives.

I have no problem with it. I love my dog and as long as he doesn't smell like , have any bugs on him or have the s he can sleep with me.

This is why I don't buy it for a second when I hear people say, "My dog likes it! He loves being outside with a fur coat on in 100 degree heat!"

I just don't get what's fun about having a dog you keep outside, tbh.

You seem like a good owner. I was talking about the people that are saying dogs belong only outside. I guess its better than being put down at the pound but still alot of these people probably dont protect their dogs the way they should.

People that consider outside dogs a display of animal cruelty are probably too re ed to be held responsible for their line of thinking. Like every animal on the planet, the ing dog adapted to and evolved existing in an outside environment. They can thrive without air condition and the creature comforts inside a house.

I am board with this. But dogs would be more apt to exist better in natural conditions they are indigenous to. In todays world, animals, like people exist outside of their normal climate due to people taking them along in their travels. This is certainly not a new development because people have been traveling since the beginning of their existence, but I'm sure there were a lot more animal casualties in history due to the lack of technological development. Of course all of this assumes different dogs live better in certain climates, and that technology isn't cyclical as if amenities didn't exist in a different form at a different period in time.

Yes, because domestic dogs you see now are a product of natural selection...

There's very little, in terms of adaptability, that separate wild dog species that are indigenous to arid climates and the domestic species we have here. I'll give you that some breeds don't do well in South Texas, but that's something to consider on a case by case basis (I just don't see the logic in claiming that keeping any dog outside is cruel). Outside dog = dog that's not allowed inside.

I agree that keeping a dog outside isn't unconditionally bad, and it's only actual "abuse" or "cruelty" under super ty cir stances. As far as adaptability, like someone else and I pretty much already said, they shouldn't have to.

Outside dog = dog that's not allowed inside.
So being an "outside" dog isn't an inherent thing?

People that consider outside dogs a display of animal cruelty are probably too re ed to be held responsible for their line of thinking.

I got a health guarantee for his joints, which is usually the problem with large breed dogs, tbh..can't predict rare cancers, unfortunately..

It's bad enough people dress their dogs, but putting mascara on them is just taking it too far.

Why aren't you getting on Harlem's case about his dog panting? You was huffing and puffing about that earlier but now you got some picture proof of a someones's dog panting and all I hear are crickets.
