Yes. Using the word " got" is bigotry no matter the context. I agree. But calling Avante a got does not mean the poster is bigoted against Avante, which is what your reaction implied.
It was posted on a public message board. If you want to make sure that only certain people are involved in the conversation, you should be doing this all in PMs. And I would still love for either you or SA210 to clearly state what you think my agenda is.
Right. So "bigotry" is not synonymous with "insult."
And in all of those examples, all that ever happened was words.
My past posts admonishing bigotry should provide ample evidence that, no, I do not support the rampant use of the word " got" or all the rest of the phobic insults that happen here every day. Not by you or by anyone else. But I also know from experience that me popping up to wag my finger after every single bigoted insult that gets thrown around here would do absolutely nothing to stop or slow their use.
I don't take anything seriously here. Not a single thing. It's words.
Two things: I'm not attacking, and no one is being cyber-bullied. Both of those terms are much more violent, and much more real, than anything that has happened here.
It is a mistake to assume that I condone anything just because I may not comment on it directly. I have no need to post every thought that pops into my head. Ultimately, it's not my place to police what people post here, much as I wish the rampant phobia, racism, and misogyny would stop. In most cases I have chosen not to give the posters who use those types of insults the reaction they're looking for, especially when it's all obvious trolling.
And again, I'm not making this my business. It has all been posted on a public message board. You have made it my business. If you think I'm "attacking" only the posters on your "side" of the argument arbitrarily, I'm not. A poster merely using the word " got" is simply not worth the time and energy it would take to compose even the shortest of posts. He or she knew what they were doing in using that word and did so intentionally. However, when a poster decries the use of such insults and rails against "cyber-bullying," as you so often have, and then also uses gay slurs or labels someone as gay as a way of insulting another poster, as you so often have, there's a level of hypocrisy that I do feel is worth noting. I can't abide people who don't own up to the bull they say, here or anywhere else.

I know this is fruitless before I even ask, but, care to provide an example of me being a hypocrite? I think I've been pretty open and consistent in my motivations over the years.
