So who is Pop supposed to play at the Center spot when Duncan's out?
Nope, especially not when it comes to someone like Ayres. From day 1, when I first heard we signed Pender instead of a backup SF, I wanted him to die. And look where we are now. RC is now flailing out 10 day contracts like a 14 year old girl, trying to find ty fixes to our biggest problem.
So who is Pop supposed to play at the Center spot when Duncan's out?
Tiago, Diaw, Baynes, Boner, Daye, Manu, Kawhi, Marco, Tony, Patty, Green, Cojo.....anyone but Ayres.
Baynes did fairly well last game. He is a difference maker anchoring a defense even if he is a work in progress without the ball on offense. He needs to do a better job on the timing on pnr plays. He isn't holding his picks long enough anymore.
Ayres had -15 tonight against the Bulls bench. Practically led the comeback tonight for Chicago. MLE money well spent.
I kind of see why Pop plays Errors now
if he didnt then this team wouldnt face any adversity like they did in that 2012 season blowing teams out by an average of 20 points a game with a 20 game win streak
by playing Errors he got them sharp since they had to overcome his deficits and they dont get to y about themselves
then he takes him out during the final few games to get them playing well going into the playoffs
