No it's not moving the goalposts. I already said the concern is about legit injury. His level of play dropped off this year and if it was just rest, needing more than two weeks off is odd to me.
Moving the goalposts. He'll be able to elevate his play after the rest, IMO. Reaching last year's level of play is another matter.

Relatively easy schedule coming up + Patty playing well ('cept for the Suns game) probably convinced Pop to ride the rest thing a little longer and I agree with the decision tbh. I'll be concerned if he looks bad when he returns but will reserve judgment until then.
Non-Spurs ball in the offseason is just part of the deal when it comes to international superstars. Been argued here for a while, it is what it is at this point.
Well said.
Nah. You took something from my comment and posted strictly about time missed this year vs last year while failing to take into consideration that TP did not just get "rested" last year and was also playing at a much higher level (meaning there was less concern) before the 3 weeks off last year.
TP is fine. Will be back soon.

lol - good news is reports just came out that Granger is going to be bought out.
This is definitely good news. The Spurs needs support more than ever if they are going to win the. Hope the FO, with link to the 76ers via Brett Brown, can play some magic.
P.S. I'm not too high on Granger, even if he is willing to come.

Pop says Leonard has had to get used to hand brace, but he’s “ready to go.”

Coach Pop says Kawhi Leonard will "probably play" tomorrow night vs. Detroit. Also adding "He's ready to go". #Spurs

Danny Green will no longer have to wear the brace on his left hand. X-rays yesterday showed it has healed completely.
Now we just need good TP news so the team can really gel & gain momentum.
Well rested, healthy, and at home for a soft section of the schedule. Just need a rejuvenated Parker.
Will be good to Leonard back.![]()
He had to come back for Kawhi Bobblehead Night.
