meh . Non-issue.
Only idiots or total newbies thought DG was a one trick pony anywhere in the last 2 years.
His elite (not shut down, but elite), and versatile defense, and elite and clutch 3 point shooting, in regular season, playoffs, finals, make him maybe the best role player on the Spurs, as well as the NBA.
Contenders would be frothing at the mouth to have Green.
Can you imagine him signing with OKC after this season, killing it from 3, and locking up old, slow, beat up, broke J having Parker?
OKC would murder the Spurs with just that one role player defecting.
The Spurs are elite, they are hungry, they are le favorites, but if they lose anyone in/for the playoffs, including key role players like DG, Kawi, or Splitter, then the Spurs are done.
foot inflamation???
that's how Bob Marley died tbh![]()
Ugh, the prospect of Green ending up on another team and getting to shut down Enrique is scary. Enrique wouldn't stand a chance against the length of Green.![]()
Sounds like bone cancer. RIP Danny.
gold. so true, make up your mind ST
Nope, but at least we have another viable guard.
BTW, I don't think losing Green would doom our le chances. It would hurt, for sure, but we could still do it. Everyone outside of Timmy/Enrique/Manu/Kawhi is expendable, IMO, though losing any of Green/Tiago/Boris/Marco/Patty would hurt (especially Tiago/Green).
great news. just hope this team can be healthy as possible, especially with the way Pop tries to help with the minutes.
very true. I'm guilty of this too at times. this site is all about making mountains out of molehills.
I've been on the Green bandwagon since he began starting a couple of seasons ago. I've defended him plenty of times. Still quite a few (not all, if that's the problem you had) thought Green was overrated. Now that he has an injury scare, there are four pages of get well posts After the Finals many on ST posted about how they hoped he'd take to the gym to improve his dribbling. Hater actually started a thread about whether a team has won a le, without a guard that can't dribble.

can you repeat this?
I had planter fac ious and it feels like the worse bone bruise in your heel
you will ever have. It's a tendon thing and I had two steroid shots in my heel
because nothing else I tried gave me any relief. The way I finally found some
relief was with New balance pressure relief innersoles that I put in my shoes
and learning to lace my shoes a different way to prevent heel slip of the shoe
on my foot.
I mistyped that the actual thread le is "Has an NBA team ever won a ship starting a guy that can't"

@ someone calling Danny Green an elite defender. He is a good defensive player but he certainly is not an elite perimeter defender in the NBA
Danny Green (foot) doesn't think he'll miss any time due to his sore right foot.
Even if Danny made the trip and is listed day-to-day, Pop won't play him for at least for a week or maybe more just to be safe.
When Green hits those 3s, it's amazing! Love his stance much better than Mills' and Marco's.
Mills moves backward and Marco moves forward a bit. But Green's 3s is the best looking one (my opinion).
Green's 25 threes from getting 500 in a Spurs' uniform. I believe he's only 89 from passing up Elliott. That's including the playoffs, though. Add 76 to the numbers for regular-season totals.

Green is a 3 and D guy, who can barely dribble(I think he's improved a little). He's an important piece for the Spurs, but to say he's anything more is a reach.
tbh
Green out for tonight's game per McDonald.
Not a surprise. Rest up, heal up.
I wonder if this means Daye get some real PT tonight?
