midnightpulp- Makes you wonder what CIA Dan Gilbert is really up to...Maybe working on a deal to lure both Bron and Carmela to the Cav's....
They have to do a salary dump for the first max slot. Plus Rich Paul is going to get Tristan Thompson paid if he can deliver James to Cleveland.

Dwight has 2-3 more prime years where he can play like that. So they have to go for it all now. Plus, they won't have max space next year anyways.
Nice when we are on the same page DJ. Dont get me wrong ... I still hate Dwight. But I can take the emotion out of it. He played WELL in that Blazers series Parsons and Harden the bed tbh ...cuz you dont blame role players or scrubs like Beverly and Lin.

I don't even understand how he is still thinking about this. Assuming he stayed with Lebron and won another championship, is it really worth $10million per year just for a ring?

Bosh isn't worth that. This deal reeks of desperation from the Rockets.

I heard on the local ESPN affiliate this morning that there is problems twixt Howard and (the guard, in' mental block on the name) and that Bosh will not go back to that bickering again. And that is a shame because he would fit there like a glove.

I saw he reported something about that, he would only stay if LeBron stays. However, LeBron needs to make a decision too. It's clear he doesn't want Bosh there. No one wants to look like the bad guy forcing him out for Melo.

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—N.B.A. superstar LeBron James said Tuesday morning that he would announce the name of the team that he is signing with on Thursday at a special session of the United Nations General Assembly to be convened especially for that purpose.

“This decision affects everyone on the planet,” James said. “I want to let all the nations on Earth know at the same time.”

An emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday was deadlocked on the issue, with seven members wanting James to remain in Miami, seven others hoping for a return to Cleveland, and Lithuania abstaining.

The Miami Heat president, Pat Riley, and the Cleveland Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert, both confirmed that they would be in the audience at the United Nations to hear James announce his decision. “I’m not going to lie: I wish he’d tell me in advance,” Riley said. “But I guess I’ll have to wait to hear along with Russia, China, Ecuador, and everybody else. That’s the way LeBron wants it.”

To help him with his decision, the N.B.A. star has assembled an esteemed circle of advisers, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the scientist Stephen Hawking, all of whom are expected to be in attendance for the United Nations announcement.

The U.N. General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon, acknowledged on Tuesday that the world body had many other issues on its plate, including conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, but added, “It’s really hard to focus on anything until we know where LeBron is going.”

Even if Bosh leaves, MIA wouldn't have max offer for Melo if Lebron takes the max. Assuming Wade takes a big paycut and gets around 12M, they still don't have a max offer for Melo (including if they renege on Granger & McRoberts).

Well, I guess technically that is not true. If Wade takes 12M and the Heat renege on Granger/McRoberts/Haslem they could fit in Melo.

This really makes Bosh look like a . I'm almost scared to see him accept the offer from Houston. If he can't play with his daddy in Miami the could have a Lamar Odom episode.

What's the holdup? Bosh is never going to get a contract like this ever again. This is the biggest amount of money he will get for a contract. He would be an idiot to turn it down.

Wow Bosh is a gigantic got.

Why would he turn down max money? He's a third banana wherever he decides - his legacy won't grow with more rings. I can't believe he's even thinking about this - max money to play in his hometown.

If bosh can still get a max offer he should accept it in a heartbeat before the team regrets. Dude ain't even worth 10m/yr without no post game now, imho.

If he was chasing rings, he'd actually do that tbh. Sadly he's too caught up in the legacy talk and to make matter worse, he has to take care of all his YES men along with the got that he calls his agent. He needs to realize that the sooner he cuts off the baggage, the better he'll be financially when he retires. I could seem them (especially Paul) suing him in the future.

BTW players like Duncan & Dirk don't even have agents.
