I liked Jurassic World, it was entertainment. I'll see it again.
not really. there were a gratuitous amount of mercedes shots but that's all you were close on.

The problem is that the script and concept has gone through so many changes that it developed into exactly what we're talking about. It's cool to see if you're just bored, wanna take your family or spouse out, especially if you have kids but I don't think it's a great movie although half the audience did, so maybe I'm just in the minority. I think they originally were going to have a movie where the world at large had to deal with feral dinosaurs but it got caught in production and thus made numerous changes.
As I said in another post, a prequel would have been better than what appeared to me as not much more than a summer box office cash in based on the movie's name. I can't blame them either, JP is hardly the only franchise to do this.
It's not a bad movie but is, imo, overhyped by some.
my favorite film of the series tbh.. although the corny dialogue at the end was terrible. they had their chance to have a memorable one liner and they completely botched it.
i also thought thebrother moment
in the truck at the end was a little too much. they did the same thing like 4 times throughout, we got the point. but i guess they had to do something for the kids
i dont have the numbers yet to back it up, but i'm pretty sure it had the most screen time for dinosaurs of all the movies so far. i know jurassic park only had 14 minutes. the last fight scene was pretty epic... all they were missing was king kong tbh![]()
Don't forget the most forced, unnatural kiss in the history of cinema. And the dino time was a negative to me, we've already seen dinos rage uncontrollably in the last 3, especially JP2.
Only beta males notice unnatural kisses in cinema, the whole time I was thinking how fun it would be to give Bryce Dallas Howard anal
So the dino time was a negative to you in a movie about dinosaurs.
kay.
Which is why I said...
We're in a thread discussing something that recently hit pop culture. Some will like, some won't like. So far, I've lost zero sleep over this not being the best movie ever made, how about you?
As for his comment, it's not the dino being bad, it's that too much was focused on the dino's rampage. As I've said a billion times already, I'd have preferred seeing more of something I haven't seen before as opposed to another powerful dinosaur on the loose with predictable events happening.
Plan on seeing it on Discount Day. Really the only one I didn't like was part 2. Rumor has it Spielberg let David Koepp direct a lot of it. Those two later ed up Crystal Skull by phoning it in.
the Jurassic Smash Blizzard is alright, I've had better from DQ.
anyone see it in 3d? Curious if when the raptors gang rape Bryce Howard and shoot their at the camera, if that's worth the upgrade.
it's ok. I just wish DQ and the blizzard showed more of the park. I'd rather the blizzrd be...maybe 95% of them walking around the park and 5% credits. Also, the forced kiss the blizzard did made me cringe.
usually the complaint with dino/monster movies is that the dino/monsters dont get enough airtime. jurassic world gave me exactly what i wanted. a lot of dinosaurs ing a lot of up.
It depends on what type of person you are. I like to think about things (not saying you don't) as opposed to seeing carnage and mayhem, which I don't mind but everything the dinosaurs did has more or less done in every JW movie.
To each their own, it's like your favorite flavor of ice cream or what have you, everyone has their preferences. I'm done talking about it if I can help it. Like I said it's not a bad movie overall.
then maybe you shouldn't be seeing movies like jurassic world...
I'm pretty sure I expected to see raptors and giant dinosaurs on the loose. But they could have provided more of a plot and story than yet another installment where a giant dino is on the loose and he is inevitably defeated in the end. They could have at least provided a surprise tragedy where one of the main protagonists gets eaten/killed or something like that.
Anyways, again I don't mean to sound like I'm harping, it was a good movie overall but not an all-time classic.
Jurassic was nice on the visuals but just a chaotic forced mess tbh
I really enjoyed it, but the Anchorman 2 ending did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
I found it to be very entertaining and enjoyed it.
yeah it is![]()
Saw it. Thought it sucked. From plot, to the characters, to the acting, to the ridiculous amount of cheesy cliches, I thought it was a pretty film imvho. But it's probably my fault for expecting more. It was a classic summer blockbuster popcorn flick. Lots of action, cliches, and a cheesy romance story. The final battle scene felt more like Godzilla than it did Jurassic Park. I did burst out laughing when the Raptor makes his triumphant return in the final battle though. Thought it was hilarious, tbh. Overall, 5/10 for me. A 5 only for the visuals.

Sequel in works. Alan and Ian Grant characters were originally supposed to be in this one.
Speaking of Please kill the franchise already, you guys notice a new Terminator hitting theaters in a few weeks?
movie ran on nostalgia and taking everything over the top to give us what we want in a dinosaur movie. cliches, jurassic park jokes, velociraptors, T-Rex, and cheesy summer blockbuster-ness. ripped straight from early hollywood monster flicks.
ending fight scene was the best part honestly. ing great B movie script in blockbuster production.
entertaining if you didn't go in expecting much such as myself
You mean Alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm.
For God's sake, let this franchise end. It honestly should have ended after The Lost World.
Pretty much.
I was disappointed that they didn't let Chris Pratt be the same Pratt that we saw in Guardians. He was a stiff here.
They try to give some character development to the kids including a wasted 10 minutes talking about mom and daddeh getting a divorce that had nothing to do with anything.
And I want to know why after the Edamame Rex got killed that everything was a-ok. You still have a ing T-Rex running loose.
but yeah, summer action popcorn flick that's ultimately forgettable.
We loled too knowing who was gonna die, like the sloppy fast security guard eating chips.
