Mcgee> Ayers
Mcgee could at least get a few boards. He will play for every nba team before he ends his career, First ballot hall of famer for that feat.
McGee has the physical tools to be a DeAndre Jordan type of player, but there's no way this bonehead would ever make it onto Popovich's roster.
We need McGee for the Shaqtin a Fool publicity
George Karl sat him down an showed him Duncan tapes then said this is what I want you to be. McGee as you can see, didn't wanna be like Duncan. I'd doubt he'd wanna come play behind Duncan. Plus our bigs do alot of moving. McGee an Manu would be great together thou.

Spurs are mentioned as a possible destination. Not getting my hopes up though, it's the Spurs.
Still remember JaVale for that triple double he tried to pull off lol

Spurs need to get somebody off of waivers, JaVale could grab a few boards and maybe Pop could mentor him. The way things are going this season he probably signs elsewhere like the Thunder, Warriors or Bulls.
If it stops West teams from getting him, I am. Our weak ass rebounders.. We need that nicca!!!
McGee's more likely to go unsigned than he is to make an impact in the playoffs.
I agree... dont see Spurs in the least bit interested. Who knows...maybe he returns to DC.
Doubtful. The disassembly of that Wiz team, offloading McGee, Arenas, and Blatche was purposeful. They seem to be out of the idiot/knucklehead business.
I'd like to see these so called "Great Coaches" turn around someone like McGee. It's easy to win when you have players like Duncan Leonard an Manu!! Those "Yes sir" guys/ good ole boys.
People can't be "fixed". They are what they are, no matter what Hollywood would have you believe.
McGee perceived intelligence would get an immediate bump by being associated with the Spurs. Who was the last Spurs player the media characterized as dumb? I don't know how high on his list of priorities respect is for JMcG but if it is quite high then the Spurs would be his ideal destination. Then again if he like most is just into $$$ and hype the Spurs will get lip service but will actually be his final option.
He interests me because he has what the Spurs lack, athleticism in the frontcourt. He is a legitimate shot blocker and can rebound. The Spurs get hammered by penetrating guards in the lane, an intimidating Ibaka like shot blocking presence would do wonders for our team defense. This is an ability neither Splitter, Diaw Baynes or Ayers can provide. I was even considering the Larry Sanders, of the Bucks, but Javell would be less of a risk to completely implode. I wouldn't break the bank for him but for the right price what is the risk?
JaVale McGee sucks. No way in Spurs go after him.
Only way I would touch McGee is with a small contract (we do have part of the MLE left) with a team option for next year. Unlikely to provide much help this year and may just be a distraction though.
That said, he'd provide depth to most other western contenders.
McGee is probably still looking for a bigger contract. I believe I read that he wasn't being bought out to try and hitch a ride with a winner so he can get a le, he's being bought out so he can go somewhere and continue to underachieve on a big contract. I think he will sign where the biggest pay day is. That said, is there a team that can pick him up off of waivers, or were the 76ers the only one that were under the cap such that they could do so?
Nah. The bigger the payday, the more of it goes to Philly (provided they didn't waive their set-off rights). McGee may still have dollar signs in his eyes, but he would be better served going to a team where he looks good rather than picking the best contract being offered now.
Ray Allen? him
