Having Parker play point is like free money. They have to guard him and he can tire out his guy easily if they put a bigger guy on him. You need two elite wing defenders to stop the spurs. One for Parker, one for kawhi.

As usual opponent team fans giving more credit to Parker than own fan base tbh...

When Parker will inevitably drive by prigs and terry Friday night I'd expect to send help from Smith, Jones, Dwight. I think the answer for San Antonio at least is to try Ariza on Parker. Put Harden on Kahwi Leonard and Brewer on Green/Ginobli. With Ariza's length Parker won't get off as many easy looks.

"Yes, but when you double him aggressively (and try to keep the ball out of his hands), he merely gets other players wide open 3's, or starts to get Leonard and Green in a rhythm. Also, despite improvement, the Rockets are not a great helping defensive team. Inevitably, somebody makes a mistake in the rotations, and leaves somebody wide open for a 3 or a dunk.

My entire premise is that Tony Parker, by himself, will not beat you... but multiple Spurs starters having big games will.

Also, Parker is the only one who can create his own shot. The others rely on him facilitating.

Make them one dimensional and it gives you a better shot to win... even if Parker goes off."

Spurs have multiple players than create for themselves tbh... Manu, Boris, Kawhi, Patty etc....

Thing is Teams still plan stuff on Defense to stop parker and when they don't Parker is still capable to make them pay as seen yesterday. This aspect is overlooked but key tbh fwiw

Tomorrow they will be discussing how the do you stop Kawhi.

They don't watch him on a regular basis like we do. Their assessment is based on a 27 point game. Some of them even consider him a Top 10 player in the league.

Don't sleep on the Clips. Choke Paul is still choke Paul but they're playing solid ball.
The clips are too emotional for my taste. Somehow I don't think they have the mental for ude to nut up when things get tough.

Maybe Patty can create some minutes for himself.

Not just last year. This year they've been a lot worse. So much so that Rivers slapped some sorta gag order on the team to stop complaining to the refs.

Looks like they've had a change of at ude...

Feeling a bit bummed out today. When I realistically look at our back center situation and the PG rotation it is not a pretty picture. With DMo out, our middle is in deep trouble unless Howard can play more minutes. And our PG rotation is close to the bottom of the NBA, we don't match up with any body. We have major talent with Harden and Howard and a very good supporting cast with Brewer, Smith, Ariza, and TJ. Aside from that it is going to be an uphill climb in the playoffs. The depressing thing is that we could sink to the bottom of the West in no time. Must win on Friday.
23 games in a row for the Spurs having a double digit lead? God I hope not
damn too soon. let the wounds heal. give us a game against the knicks or philly in between.
McHale needs to show he can make adjustments here, if he does not, we're doomed! Also, how come I feel even with TJ, Dwight and Smith, we still do not have a 'big' front court?? Duncan, Diaw and others just seem much more physical and true bigs.
Another smackdown at the hands of the Spurs. McHale again is clueless as Pop coaches circles around him. McHale will make no adjustments other than "play harder" and "don't let the ball get sticky"
It feels like Popovich has figured out basketball. He's broken the game, and nothing short of a rules change will make it compe ive again. How else do you explain his ability to take any scrub off the scrap heap and turn him into a winner? It's not Tim Duncan I can guarantee you that.

We play the Rockets so much better now than last year.Chandler Parson and Terrence Jones killed us last year.No more Parson and Jones has been injured all year.Too reliant on Harden.Josh Smith has helped us Match up better with them.
