How come I don't read anything about Kevin Seraphin? Have I missed him signing with someone? I recall he smacked the Spurs around when they played at Washington last season. He's defensive and mobile, French and cheap. What am I missing?

What would prevent signing West to a two year vet minimum deal with a player option after year 1 and then re-signing him to a 2 year, $22MM contract next summer when the cap hits the rumored $90MM level?

That is likely because he would step to them and they would back down. Plenty of hard fouls those days and Trex would step to on all of them. He'd also retaliate with hard fouls of his own. He wasn't Kermit Washington but thug life doesn't last long really lived out on an NBA court. I'm talking about actual violence not ghetto speak, tats, and style.

Helps the Spurs because since they would be over the cap, the can re-sign Cory Joseph and have the MLE to get other players. Makes cap space and any other moves a non-factor.

Spurs wouldn't have to send anything out but Tiago to ATL (maybe draft rights or a future 2nd round pick).

They'd need to recruit one of DET or SAC (very preferably DET) to include their acquisition of Baynes or Beli into the deal. Splitter alone wouldn't get it done.
