MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — A judge ordered a no-parole life sentence Tuesday for a suburban Detroit woman convicted of killing her adult son, dismembering him and dumping the body parts.



Donna Scrivo's life sentence was mandatory for first-degree murder, although Macomb County Judge Richard Caretti said the punishment doesn't seem to be enough.



"The horrific nature of your offense is mind-boggling," he told Scrivo.



Bags containing parts of Ramsay Scrivo, 32, were found in January 2014 in St. Clair County, northeast of Detroit. His 61-year-old mother, a nurse, had reported him missing a few days earlier.



Prosecutors accused Scrivo of drugging Ramsay and strangling him. She claimed a masked man killed her son and forced her to cut up the body.
