Seriously, you can be a bad shooter and still help your team, yet neither coach or player get it. Its all about the Kobe's shots not falling? Why not try playing D, moving the ball around, setting screens, cut to the basket without the ball?

I'll be honest didnt think our defense could get worse, took Byron at his word though I was firmly against his hire. I Wanted a Brad Stevens type (Ollie?), a young top assistant like Luke or someone from the Pop or RC tree. Plus I knew Kobe was never gonna be the same post achilles but he looks worse than last year ...which would be ok if he stopped taking so many difficult shots ... urggggggghhhhh!!!!!! not sure I want to attend when they come here anymore ...last time I went we beat the Mavs ass and Kobe played well neither are happening this season.
let's analyze the starting 5. Lin is defensively the same as Russell, but the second is a rookie while the first was fighting for his career. Kirby vs Clarkson this one debatable because Clarkson is awful, but I guess he still gets the nod. Wes Johnson vs Kirbi here there is a 10 point swing, wes is literally in the league just for that even though he sucks. Boozer vs Randle Boozer wins easily on size and experience alone, Randle has no clue and is dumb. Jordan Hill vs Hibbert Hibbert wins easily. Still, I don't see how you could expect the defense to improve when you have no perimeter defender on the roster.

Portland is actually quite talented, in this kinda form i really don't see Lakers beating them.

Im sorry but even as a rook I think Randle is better than Boozer on defense. At least Randle can move his feet in pnr and block a few shots. Wes johnson is an athlete but sucks on defense too ... cant argue the rest. But better offense would help our defense we are not even doing that well.

boozer was actually decent on D in the latter part of his career, randle is no way near that level, sorry.
Really? Boozer on a team of elite defenders had to be yanked by Tibbs in crucial moments. Again, Randle is a rookie.

I think Spur fan is underestimating the draw of Los Angels. But the key is getting the right coach even with the bickering owners a great coach with clear vision and a good system would make a huge difference. Sure stars like Russ Davis etc can be big anywhere but nothing is like L.A. but you have to give them a reason to come ... Byron and Kobe are not that ...
