You know what. As we speak, the Cavaliers are getting blown out by the Wizards without LeBron James. People are still talking about Curry and the Warriors as we speak and twitter is still on fire.

That game last night did some major collatteral damage in terms of how teams feel about competing for the rest of the season. I think everyone believes it hopeless now.

If Golden State has long ago acheived their goal by proving their doubters wrong but now....they've put the rest of the NBA in a inferiority hex. I don't think any team in league believe they can actually beat them in a 7 game series at all. This goes for any playoff team. Even the Spurs. I know your hatred spews over the pot hearing that and you dislike the taste of reality. It is what it is. This is GS

    Honestly, they are not indestructible.

They look to be a match up nightmare for the Spurs.

Much like the western conference finals in '14 with the thunder, it is going to take 48 straight minutes of solid basketball to take them down.

Please, maybe the Spurs don't have a chance but I doubt the team will just roll over and die. Until they beat the Spurs in 4 games in the playoffs then I'll give Popovich, Leonard and the rest of the team the benefit of the doubt that they can somehow beat this juggernaut.

Some of the antics from Curry and Green are annoying, but he's playing at such an unthinkable level that you can't do anything but respect him/them.

The difference between that team in the Warriors is that the Warriors don't rely on officiating to win games. I despise teams that get an abundant of bull calls rather than winning the game off skill. Even if they don't get a call, they get away with other crap.

The face of Bull calls is now James Harden. It use to be Wade, Pierce, James (and his teammates privilege), Chris Paul, Bosh, Durant, Westbrook, Kevin Martin at one point, Monte Ellis at one point, Kobe Bryant(and his teammates privilege), Cousins, and upcoming Wiggins and KAT; The Boston Celtics big three (and teammates privilege) and others I can't think of.

The only thing people have against the Warriors is that they set moving screens which every team in the league does. Despite that, they still are 21st in the league in free throw rate. Stephen Curry has dropped to 24th in free throws per game. Its kind of like the pushes in the back on rebounds. They'll catch it every now and then but it happens all the time.

Honestly, Curry showed last night that he didn't need a screen.

This Golden State team is a big step above that '14 Oklahoma City squad, but much like that series people will be expecting the Spurs to lose. A lot can happen for both teams before April, May and June, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet.

I agree with Harlem that this is the most daunting opponent in the Duncan/Popovich era and it will take a herculean effort from the Spurs to win. Leonard will need to channel '96 Scottie Pippen while Danny Green will need to be lights out from deep and play the best defense of his career.

agree with most of what you said. Its amazing curry can do all that with minimal charity stripe points, but when you're area of expertise is 30 ft from the basket you're not going to get fouled as much as someone that takes a beating in the lane night in and out.

Well gives us your insight you smart mother er you?

You just can't make a statement and not back back it up. Whatever argument you make, I'd just brush it off as complete denial because that's about half of the Spurs fans on this forums. The intelligent Spurs fans have accepted it. Then there's guys like you. The guys that make a statement but don't provide any credence to it. The same fans who wouldn't be around if the Spurs were to spiral into mediocrity for 5 to 10 years. The same fans who are spoiled as by the Spurs success can't handle it when another team is in the limelight.

The Golden State Warriors are a different those fake sunshine nba media driven teams you're use to being pissed about. Golden State is actually legit. I despised the Heat(Recent and previous), Lakers(Late and Early 2000s), Suns(mid 2000's), Rockets(Recent), Thunder (Recent), Clippers(Recent); wanting the Spurs to trounce their illegitimate media boosted and/or nba rigged asses out of the playoffs. The Mavericks is a team the Spurs had owned forever and a day and that's the only team I can truly respect. That, and the Pistons. I was right there with you watching the Bullllll........ and boy when the SPurs won, the resolve...felt...refreshing for weeks. Knowing that all the team that deserved to win won.

Could your anger be directed towards the Warrior eclipsing the Spurs historically elite season of being 50-9 and 3.5 games behind the Warriors? You of all people should know...that the SPURS..will never ever be perceived as a media darling. They will always be overshadowed. Kawhi is the best small forward in the league. People STILL don't know that. They don't even believe it. they probably even forgot his name or don't know how to spell it. Jesus. You should know this

What are you going to argue? That the Golden State Warriors hack teams all the time play physical and knock teams on the floor? That they shouldn't celebrate their success by jumping around because they're the best team in NBA history and have shown their quality in 53-5 record? What about the that off season of everyone talking ? They don't have any right to back that up and celebrate now that the the world knows their names? They've created an iden y for themselves and people have to respect that.

What are you going to say? That they flop like es even when an actual player didn't flop, using hyperbole to your advantage when its convenient? I've watched 90% of their games. I can tell you if they're full of or not.

What are you going to call me? A bandwagon fan? A term that has been exaggerated and ill used to describe fans of other teams who praise the way Golden State performs on the court?

Are you going to go ape and call me the term " rider" or various ad hominems. The same ones that closet sexuals are recently using around the web to describe people who give gra ude and credit where its due to sports team who deserve because throughout their miserable lives of being pathological narcissistic bags, they've willfully ignored what acknowledgement ING IS.

Or are you going to get over your denial and face the face the mirror. The funny thing is...in a parallel universe, I'm the guy that's saying "As if free throws is the only way to get help from the officials."

My comment needs no further explanation. I'm not gonna type every possible scenario out there. If you watch basketball, you don't need them.

No team relies on officiating to win games, and then they all do. If your defender can hold you under the basket, you're toast. You rely on officials to catch that and call the foul. If you know that you can attack the rim and the only way they can stop you is to foul you, you do that until it doesn't work. Neither of those scenarios means relying on the officiating to win games, and then both do.

More if Steph was on the Spurs and did the same thing, wouldn't be an issue. We all do that with guys that light up our squads. Hate em. But if they're with us, love em. See Malone for Laker fans.

That celebration at the end was disgusting. Chest bumping all about me at ude.
Im pretty sure any other player in the league would have celebrated after hitting that shot, if you can't celebrate after hitting an absurd 3 to win a game you had no business winning, then when is it acceptable to celebrate? Should he have just walked off the court with an expressionless face? Not everyone has no personality like duncan and leonard. Honestly i feel like stephs celebrations are kind of like a "eff you" to all his critics, all the "he's too small to play D1 college basketball" or "he will never be able to do that in the NBA" or "the warriors got lucky and steph didn't deserve the mvp" or the more recent "back in my day he could never make shots like that". And anyone who would say steph has an "all bout me at ude" must have never seen warriors game, because steph has no problem doing whatever the team needed him to do on any given night, sometimes that means scoring 50 and sometimes it means passing out of the double team or deferring to Klay. Either way, I don't understand why people get their panties in such a bunch when athletes celebrate their accomplishments, like when Buatista flipped his bat 45 feet after hitting bomb in the playoffs that was entertaining to me. But maybe I'm just a rare breed of fan that actually just watches sports to be entertained.
