You're seriously discussing this? I understand the OP and a few others... but you?

Nobody is taking Parker's $15M salary, unless the Spurs throw in something else of value. NOBODY. But to take his salary, and give back a #3 draft pick? The GM would have to fire himself.
See my post before the one you quoted.

A little off topic. I really don't get what makes Boston a "free agent destination" this upcoming offseason ? Boston is great city, and wonderful sports town, but outside of Brad Stevens their best players are nice "role" players to have if you're a championship contender. No franchise type player like Paul Pierce when they were bad before Garnett and Allen were traded there. They have a lot of draft picks in a decent draft. No enticing talent when they pick like when they traded Jeff Green (Solid prospect at that time) for Ray Allen. Unless a team wants a guy with a cool first name (Dragan Bender).. If Boston somehow lands a franchise type player in their prime for all those picks they could build a solid team quick, that could possibly interest both Horford or Durant who both want to play with a team that's guaranteed to win now and not play with a bunch of rookies. Seems like Stevens wants to develop his own guys though.

Agree. The Spurs won't trade Parker, it will never happen. But we have 10 threads about it every offseason...it's some Spurstalk tradition.
Parker is never going to be traded. He and his contract will be a drag for the Spurs the next two years. The Spurs PG position is the one gaping hole that the Spurs won't be able to find a solution for.

They play in the East.. You'll at least sniff the playoffs every year of that contract and perhaps even advance far enough to look like you were a good player.

If RC isn't willing to make the calls then he needs to go, these are all doable I can't even conceive why we haven't tried this before.

Hard to believe he's the same guy who traded away Paul George.

Green could easily be worth that 16th pick, looking from Celtics standpoint

Paul George is no Tony Parker.
