And Turturro makes almost any movie watchable.
Yep, you can tell Depp had his heavy hands all over this movie, but, yet it has something that endures, that appeals.
And Turturro makes almost any movie watchable.
Yep, I found him in a bit in "Raging Bull" the other day. He's at the table where Jake & his brother (Pesci) sit early in the movie.
I take it back about him making any movie watchable. I just skimmed through his filmography. I'll scale it back and say he almost always does a great job.
Maximum Overdive was pretty entertaining too, but I haven't seen it in years
I love the ACDC track DTs from that.
Thinner was a decent movie.
Way better than the made for tv crap like tommyknockers or langoliers
Wait--so backtracking here...the little girl has a train run on her in the book? WTF is up with that. King is such a weirdo
Yep, Michael Constantine as the old Gypsy keeps the movie strong---and the ending is complex for this type of film.
I like this movie. The young Gypsy girl is attractive as is Billy's wife.
The Gypsies are unrelenting from beginning to end.
(A) weak spot is the Joe Montegna character. It/he just comes off as ill placed.
So...what does everyone think?
Just a trailer but looks pretty good IMO.
Remakes of Carrie, Poltergeist, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street have all sucked, so I'd go in with very low expectations on this. I have enjoyed the Halloween reboot though.
Idgaf about the trend of ty remakes, I'll pay to watch this opening night at the theater. If it sucks, fine, but IT is one of my favorite movies growing up and I still watch it regularly to this day. I'm not a fan of Pennywise's new look, but it's cool I'll get over it if the acting is on point, and the movie stays true to the book (as it looks to so far)
Are they going to show the train scene?
Avante would love that
Just saw the trailer.. Good . I didn't even think Pennywise looked bad from what was shown, he looked pretty creepy IMO.
I was skeptical but that trailer looks good tbh
Kinda looked like a shampoo commercial at the end though..
i've never seen the original but the trailer looks dope.
Just as long as they dont remake that ending of the origianl... Spoiler Alert!
A fukkin 20ft spider??
Still makes no sense to me.
King did that a lot in his books. Some deux ex machina that often involved some out of the blue supernatural monster or something. I hated the endings to a lot of his books. I think he was way better at writing the story and building the tension than executing the climax.
I'm convinced that he doesn't plan his stories completely. It's like after 1000 pages he just decides "alright I'm tired of this " and craps out an ending.
yeah...exactly. I always liked his novellas and short stories better in the end. Loved reading his books but a lot of the endings were just like you said.
Someone needs to put Pops head in the drain.
