Sad thing is, when the dust clears, the GOP won't know where it is or who to turn to.

The nomination of Trump is an epochal disaster for the GOP.

I am rooting against Trump too. I wish this could be the war with heavy attrition on both sides...both parties are so deserving of disaster.

Fortunately for the GOP, they will have the second most hated nominee ever to rail against for four years.

    Round and round it goes.

Politics isn't about ideas or policies or the vision thing anymore.

It's all about who you hate.

This may be a good thing...time will tell. Hopefully they don't turn to Jeb! or Cruz to regain their iden y.

4 years of Hillary and the Dems may find themselves in the same position. Bernie already gave them a scare.

Trash will lose, melodramatic talk about the Repug pay-to-play party splitting, disappearing is bull .

Repug party will continue to be owned and operated, corrupted by BigMoney/BigCorp, in Congress and in all red/slave states that are dominated by Repugs ing over citizenry for BigCorp profit. There will be no solutions to national problems, no progress on anything.

Repug strict obstructionism and austerity will cause USA to continue a low-growth sclerotic Real Economy, while the Financial Economy extracts more and more wealth from the 99%.

Repugs will continue to defund govt at all levels, to prove that their blind ideology that no good can come from govt, that govt FOR THE PEOPLE 99 must be destroyed.

Trash is solidly an establishment Repug. He's just not the Repug that the Repug establishment wanted.

The swing state math still looks terrible for Donald Trump

But current polling averages for both RealClearPolitics and HuffPost Pollster do still show Clinton leading Donald Trump in almost every traditional swing state.

Furthermore, Clinton remains not only ahead but pretty comfortably ahead in states that would be enough to provide her with a majority of electoral college votes.

In the below map, I’ve projected states to Clinton or Trump if either is leading both polling averages by 5 or more points, and kept the closer states as undecided. As you can see, Clinton currently has enough solid-looking leads to top 270 electoral vote that would give her a win.

He would need all those swing states plus NH - that takes him to 269 with the House deciding. Better add Maine CD2 to Trump just in case - wouldn't put it past a delegate to switch on him.

You know it's getting bad when you have to include 3 other people to make the race seem close.

Head to head she's manhandling him.

    Hater

But that isn't what will count, there are 3 candidates on all 50 state ballots as of now.

Largest primary field ever, I'm thinking. Disparate visions and messages. No clear front runner. So another reality star or celebrity probably.

Other than Trash, the rest of the field were deeply insider, establishment Repugs, which the Repug base rejected dramatically.

Does the Repug establishment even understand, or care, what happened?

Even if they do, the Repug party will continue as before, s to BigCorp/1% $Bs, pro-Corporate-American and anti-Human-American.

So, boutons, you do understand why Trump was the nominee even if he is so repugnant to you. Even with his myriad of faults, he's the only one with even a chance of standing up to them - all the others will cave/fold. Sometimes, I think - why couldn't he just be a little nicer, a little less full of himself - just tone it down a bit. But I've come to the realization that if he weren't the way he is, he'd have never made it this far. I can't imagine how it must feel - the media, the Democrats, the Republican establishment, the donors - all against him.

Trash ain't gonna stand up, CAN'T stand up, to Repug establishment because the Repug establishment in Congress, and he won't be President.

He's the nominee because he got the racist, xenophobic, jingoist, hate-and-fear vote, which has been the Repug base for decades anyway.
