Pop more than likely won't do it, but he really should call out opposing coaches. This was supposedly the year the Spurs were going to take a step back, yet here they are, once again the only team in the same stratosphere as the Warriors, yet those pukes get 4 and they get 1? All this talk about trust, sacrifice, etc. and in the end, even for those that supposedly know the game the best, they're no different than the casual fan/majority of the media: despite all of today's information, it still comes down to counting stats and campaigning behind the scenes.
He won't do it, because he enjoys the Idea that everything is about him. I've told you that like a million times bro.

To further that point, Pop used to actually stand up for his players in the Duncan era..but its when he started to get excessive praise for things he didn't even do..Thats when things stopped.

I think he really does enjoy this structure because he benefits the most from it while the players benefit the least if at all in terms of reputation.

The Spurs having a single All-Star can either be viewed as

    A. An organization with only 1 All-Star caliber player OR
    B. A collection of players who sacrifice their stats for the betterment of the team.

Everyone who joins the Spurs knows that winning will be at the expense of their individual stats. The All Star game is atrocious, irrelevant and boring. Winning a ring is glorious and cements one's career.
This TBH. LMA has been to all star games, big deal. We need to focus on the games that matter and not some stupid pick up game in the middle of the season that will involve Durant and Westbrook fighting with each other over who gets to shoot on every possession. I hope Kawhi backs out. Let's let our guys rest and not risk injury in a pick up game. Plus all star players usually have a funk/tired game when they get back with their team. No reason to put Kawhi through that.

Uh oh, Murray and Simmons criticized the league on Twitter. That is a no-no for Pop, tbh. Guess we won't be seeing them much tomorrow.
Simmons has a wrist injury and is probably going to be still in the injured list... (wrist sprain from a fall in the Bklyn game), Murray will likely go back to the deep bench bc Tony is healthy again...

If we don't see them, it will have nothing to do with the twitter posts.

That's ed up. They're only the greatest trio of all time in wins...
Even the Hawks had their four "stars" make it, in '15. Granted, it was the East and Korver was named as an injury replacement, but still.

Somehow, consistent excellence spread over a 14 year period didn't need to be rewarded at any point, but consistent excellence spread over a 3 (and counting) year period needs to be rewarded consistently.

I said he more than likely wouldn't do it, but should.

The lack of respect the players on this team get and have gotten for years, is ridiculous and with as much respect as he has, I guarantee you if he were to mention that, things would change.

If he doesn't have the sense to at least talk about the Warriors getting 4 to their 1, when they're 2 games back, then Parker or Ginobili should.

Honestly, I don't even want Kawhi to go. Just wanna keep the kid in a bubble wrap when he's not playing for Spurs or working out. Really don't understand the fascination with the ASG anyways, it's just a glorified pick up game. I haven't even bothered to watching last few years.
    Exactly.
