I seriously have no idea how anyone can find fault in this move from Dallas' side. This was the deal they needed to make to finally convince themselves that they could tank this season. Now the goal is to make Wes Matthews look as good as possible to trade him during the draft. Or if Dirk doesn't retire and doesn't want to take another paycut, keep Wes and hope you trade the PG you need to complete your starting unit.
I like Justin Anderson a lot, but all this cost was him and two seconds. of a deal.

This wasn't a bad trade for Dallas, just a meaningless one. I look forward to winning 35-45 games a year for the next decade with this team. We're now the Nuggets. Yay.
Trade for a PG being the key. Drafting a PG would be disastrous. Not interested in seeing Carlisle mind another young player into oblivion.
I don't watch them enough to know, but I'd think it easier to draft a guy and let him learn to do what Carlisle wants rather than trading for an established PG (not that I know who that would be) and having him clash with Rick.
Carlisle is terrible with rookies and young players. Kidd and Deron have been the only successful starting PG's under Rick because they already understood the NBA game and he didn't have to do much to coach them. Rondo obviously flopped in Dallas because of Rondo, not Rick. But basically every young/rookie guard under Rick has failed, and that's no coincidence. In 2 weeks, Yogi will be in the doghouse riding the bench as JJ Barea plays 36 minutes a night, guaranteed.
