Show links to those people preferring slavery to freedom.

You say any of those people now want to be slaves.

    Mar: 19. 1847.--

I have paid $120 for the freedom of Paul Jennings--He agrees to work out the sum, at 8 dollars a month, to be [illegible] with board, clothes + washing--to begin when we return from the Lorette--His freedom papers I gave to him; they are recorded in this district.

Did not volunteer to be slave again.

Direct quote by Madison's slave, not an "anecdote". It is the truth. He was there and you were not. How dare you attack Madison's slaves?

and the south magically went from democrat to republican. i'm sure it has nothing to do with party realignment. i think all the people in those states had a collective epiphany and decided to change their views on politics and the world.

you know how abraham lincoln, a republican, was the first president ever to imhplement a federal income tax? total republican move. especially his love for states rights
southern states switched because of the benefits of the new deal and a better company.

party realignment Is bs, especially given that 99% of Dixiecrats stayed in their party (dem party)
