I guess the silver lining is that this gaggle of scrubs will have to learn how to win without him.

Which will give him irrational confidence that will boil over into frustration once Kawhi comes back and takes his shots causing LMA to disappear once again in the playoffs when the games matter.

I didn't think it was BS. I ing hate all the posters here who keep posting "CIA" bull , and I ing hate the Spurs FO with all their bull .

I was looking forward to seeing Kawhi play more than anyone in the league and now I have to wait longer. I wouldn't have been as pissed off if the Spurs released some info, or those re s in the SA media actually asked what is going on with him and how he was doing. They had two weeks to ask for updates on how he's going with his rehab and how he is progressing, but it seems like they sat on their hands and asked nothing. ing pathetic if you ask me.

SA media seems to be one of the worst on the planet.

I posted this earlier in the thread, now, maybe someone will actually read it. I remember reading an article talking about his quad problems years ago, and fortunately, I was able to find it again. I thought he had the issues sorted out, but I am a bit worried now as it appears that he's still having them which is why I wanted to find the article and reread it. I originally thought he first had them a couple of years ago, but this article states he's had them since 2012. I hope it's not a chronic issue.

    http://www.espn.com.au/nba/story/_/id/14763202/how-biometrics-turned-kawhi-leonard-star

It was a twist of the knee that helped Leonard fulfill that vision. During his second NBA season in 2012, Leonard was sidelined for 18 games with quadriceps tendinitis near his left knee. That offseason, the Spurs sent him to P3 to assess his vastus medialis, a teardrop-shaped muscle in the quads that powers the knee joint. "They focus on trying to balance out your body," Leonard explains. "You don't train there. I learned more about the body."

When P3's evaluation showed imbalances from his injury -- the particulars of which P3 refused to reveal to ESPN -- Leonard and Shelton devoted that summer to ensuring his quads weren't just strong but symmetrically and multidirectionally strong. "Most players are linear; they can run in a straight line and jump vertically," Shelton says. "But with Kawhi, we focus on perfecting change of direction.
Also, which quad is it? One article says right quad, and another says left quad.

    http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2017/10/13/spurs-leonard-expected-to-miss-season-opener/

Leonard, 25, has missed training camp and the entire preseason schedule while rehabilitating tendinopathy in his left quadriceps. Initially, the Spurs had ruled Leonard out for the duration schedule.

Kawhi Leonard will sit out the preseason with a lingering thigh injury.

According to the San Antonio Spurs, there’s no timetable for the All-Star forward’s return to action.

Leonard has been rehabbing the right quadriceps tendinopath all summer.
That bit about rehabbing it all summer doesn't sound good at all.

I wonder which quad it is. I'd assume the latest article from the SA Express News is correct, but then again, I'm not sure you can trust those guys with accurate info.

Sadly, they are bad, really bad.

But also they're very disloyal to the team they're covering...

I have posted this tweet many times last playoffs. Again, for things like this I can't stand them.

    Great find!!!!

Reading this IMO what I think happened is he over compensated rehabbing his ankle and screwed things up..is his bad quad the opposite leg of his ankle? Truly shows that his ankle was bad and he lost a lot of strengths in his leg and it caused his other leg to stress..

Tendinitis is a tricky thing and it can jump from one leg to another. I had it in both knees in my playing days and it's pretty frustrating..I dunno how long Kawhi has been dealing with this but a couple months should help tremendously..but if his balance isn't right and he rushes back..it could linger all year and maybe more

What actually causes Tendinitis? Is it an overuse thing?

Concerning stuff, specially about it being a lingering issue from last season and him having rehabbed it all summer.
Thanks for posting. I have seen it's the right quad in several tweets and news reports, but wow... media don't even get that right.

    Is it an overuse thing?
    In most cases.

    http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sp...s-tendinopathy

Last part about it can take weeks or months is very worrisome.

Well I had it in my knees..I partially tore my ACL in my left knee and then got it in my right. From my experience it came from stress and over compensating because my other league wasn't as strong..

But I can't speak too much on a quad injury but I do know that rest is the only way to fix it..and like I said it can always come back and there's good and bad days. Very frustrating situation tbh

    Via Google research

For a first time injury, recovery may take 2 to 3 months. A longer term chronic, recurring injury may need 4 to 6 months. Gradually return to sports specific training. Again depending on severity this may be days, it may be weeks

If Kawhi started rehabilitation in the summer this could linger into mid-late November. It makes sense tbh why Spurs can't put a timetable on it because it's not an easy fix or situation..especially for someone who has had issues..but on the positive side Kawhi is only 25

I'd don't get why he's getting these issues, though. He never really played big minutes throughout his career.

Does he potentially have the sickle cell trait?
