Rockets are a whole tier above SA, this is the best Rockets team since 95

Unlikely, but hope Pop doesn't start Pau. No need to go in a 13-4 or so hole at the start before the first timeout.

Worst part about tonight is that it's the first game of a b2b. Play the Mavs again tomorrow night at home in a potential revenge game.

Could see Pop pulling the starters early in this one on the road if it gets ugly.

I'd like to see the Spurs make a statement tonight. Hopefully Pop takes this game seriously and doesn't around with dumbass lineups.

Chris Paul has been ballin' these last few games. Looking forward to Patty guarding him for long stretches tonight.

I don't expect a win in this one though you never know in the NBA. Some guys have a cold shooting night on one end, and some others are hot on the the other team, it changes things.

However, the Rockets are playing well and the Spurs are currently still working on their chemistry. Kawhi is still in minutes restrictions, maybe Danny too (since returning from that sore groin), Kyle still out.

Pop still has roleplayers competing for minutes too. Again, having 3 minutes here or there of BP3, Davis, Lauvergne, Murray, etc. is insufficient time for them to really get some rhythm, sometimes not enough to even get 1 shot in, and it does affect others in the game IMO.

But I do think Pop wants to win the game, so there is always a chance. It's the first night of a B2B and if he's not resting players, he wants to win. It's a good game to get tested and work on their chemistry issues, etc. It's a process right now to all be playing at their best, and they aren't there yet as a team.

exactly what I think, for sure Pringles and Harden want to make a statement (even if it's against a team with 50% Kawhi)

Lock down the perimeter and you take away 60% of their offense.

Obviously easier said than done, but D'Antoni is not going to adjust.

Bat manu finally made this thread have some quality. He's being the bigger man right now not creating his own thread but it would be hilarious n I'm curious if yours would still top daboms in page count even with him taking so many posts from being over a day early. Bat manu is the original thread starter cause he was doing for every game till kawhi came back n someone else decided to chime in.

I don't see any way the spurs win. If pop has a plan to stop them he won't use it. Expect to see him trot out the usual weird line ups.

The only way we win is if lma can beast for 4 quarters at least. We can't out shoot them and won't bring playoff intense defenses so early in the season
