Sounds like Texas is looking to load up on oline this year. Any idea how many they might take.
Don't know who they will take but the top guys are Kenyon Green (A&M lean, already decommitted from LSU), Javonne Shepherd (A&M lean), Branson Bragg (Texas lean), Tyler Johnson (Texas lean), and Ed Ndoma-Ogar (Texas/OU/A&M battle). Ideally, those five but Texas won't land all five. We should be happy if we can land 2 or 3 of those and then go OOS or find some in state gems.

I like where Texas sits with Bragg, T. Johnson, and Ndoma-Ogar.
They need to pick up a little momentum with Shepherd this weekend as he was really high on Texas last summer and into the fall.
Green is going to be tough and it sucks that Jimbo has a connection to the Humble Atascocita staff, but he's supposed to be real close with OL Sam Cosmi.
Regardless, I'd be surprised if that one is settled any time soon.
Maybe Coach Hand can make some moves with OL Jack Buford out of St. Louis.
So looking at our numbers here is my best guess on how many we take at each position.
QB - 1
RB - 1 or 2 - I'm guessing two as we lose a couple and maybe more if Kirk retires.
WR - 2
TE - 2
Oline 5 - we are short two guys as or right now and we lose 3 to graduation.
DT - 2 or 3 - we lose two to graduation but might also have some attrition
DE - 4 - we lose 2 to graduation and maybe 1 to the NFL (Roach) also possible attrition.
LB - 4 - We lose our top 3 plus might lose one to NFL (McCullough)
CB - 2 - lose two to graduation
S - 2 - lose two to graduation
All in all, I expect us to take another full class of at lease 25.
So I'm guessing our highest priority has to be linebacker on defense and offensive line on offense. Followed by DE and RB as they are also huge needs.
Veracruz is on point
When will we know if Angilau is going to go on a mission or not?
Ohio State has offered QB Grant Gunnell from Houston St. Pius X.
No timeline on that, unfortunately.
Inside Texas is saying LB David Ugwoegbu of Katy Seven Lakes is currently not planning on taking any Junior Day visits.
They believe UCLA has the early lead because of former Katy Seven Lakes OL Caleb Benenoch.
Pretty good flow for this UT student....
OL Tyler Johnson of Conroe Oak Ridge will be on campus Sunday, per Inside Texas.

Quotes from five-star CB Chris Steele of Bellflower, CA (24/7):
https://247sports.com/Player/Chris-Steele-90375
“It’s kind of a different experience (playing 7-on-7 in Texas),” Steele said. “I like it because they have the same mentality as me. It’s always good to play with kids from different states and all different areas. They are probably some of the best athletes in Texas.”
“I’m really open to leaving (California) because I want to experience new things,” he said. “At the end of the day, my ultimate goal as far as football goes is to go to the NFL. If I felt like there was a better opportunity if I went out of state, I’d do that. It doesn’t mean I’m going to go out of state, but I’m going to go wherever I’ll be best prepared for football and life after football.”
“Look at Coach (Jason) Washington,” Steele said. “His track record kind of says it all. He gets you ready for the league, and his players speak very highly of him. He really knows his stuff.”
“It (Texas' 2018 DB class) doesn’t scare me off at all,” he said. “I’m ready to compete and go to war with whoever. If I did end up going there, I don’t really have a problem competing because I know what I’m capable of.”
