ing hilarious for a SoCal guy
And spurs can deny ill will or meanness by saying it's standard practice to trade a top player to the other conference.

KL gets to go to a country that will take another 30% of his income. Welcome to Canada KL. This is the ultimate punishment trade. It hurts the Spurs, Lakers, 76ers, Boston, and KL. Everyone gets some pain.

    Agree
Miles Bridges and Porter was the way to go but the Spurs should have also been more assertive in making offers to teams on draft night.

Oh the bright-side they won't have to face him 4 times a year except maybe the Finals. I'm joking. The Spurs are no longer sniffing Finals anymore without Kawhi.

I still take him. Denver took him.
Are you too conservative to take him.

Could've had Tobias/12/13/Green/Anderson but now we got DDR/Poeltl/Forbes/Cunningham/Metu instead.

    Oops?

Watch masia flip Leonard at the trade deadline for more than we got. If spurs would have waited teams would’ve seen him healthy at usa camp and would’ve offered more

At 6’10, Porter has the height and length of an NBA big man with the shooting stroke and handle of a guard. In short, Porter could be the next Durant.

Players like him can turn around a team on a rebuild.

Its a great trade if leonard is actually seriously hurt
It's pretty much the only way the Spurs win this trade.

If healthy you don't get him with the 12th pick.

Expected to be healthy next season or else Denver does not draft him.

This was an alright trade given that the Spurs were not in a position to make any demands. This hurts good old Leonard going forward more than it does the Spurs.

The Spurs will at least content. Kawhi is going to be stuck on a sub-par team that is more miss than hit, imo.

    They should by default.

The Eastern Conference was a cakewalk with Lebron in it. Now it just got even easier.

Winning a game in the west counts for at least 2. West is just that much stacked.

Just good enough to keep the Spurs from getting any decent picks next year.
Exactly. Should have bottomed out. Traded Aldridge too

You two cucks should learn from PATFO. You don't TANK or willingly sabotage your team from winning. You strap your boots up and get to work!

I doubt it. If people thought SA would be desperate to move Kawhi the closer to the deadline and TOR was shopping him (meaning they know he’s gone) they won’t get squat.

Hard to imagine them getting a player as quality as DeRozan + Poeltl

Perhaps what they'll see would make them offer less?

    Could've had Tobias/12/13
I don't understand why multiple Spurs fans today are saying they would have rather had this Clippers package. I wouldn't trade DeRozan by himself for Tobias, 12 and 13. , I wouldn't trade Poeltl for 12 or 13. Poeltl isn't an exciting prospect but he looks like a sure thing to have a 10-year NBA career.

That was a trash offer by the Clippers. Spurs fans are seriously overrating late lottery picks. Half the time, picks at the end of the lottery don't even make it in the league.
